purchased 02/04/17, failed 10/15/17, with less than 2000 miles on the vehicle since install. the rubber bond failed causing a wobble that also took out a $45 gates belt.

Another sub-standard Chinese balancer from Dorman. AVOID. Dorman balancers can no longer be trusted, QC (quality control) is nonexistent.Opened the package: grease everywhere and a leaking silica packet. (Why put a silica packet inside? It's already got oil/grease on it.) Strike 1.Still, needing a quick fix I proceeded to install it after cleaning all the grease and silica off. It slid right on... except, that's not what Navistar/Ford specification calls for... it's supposed to be an interference fit and should be pressed on. Strike 2.Installed the bolt and started up the 7.3 diesel... and this thing wobbled with a ridiculous amount of run-out for any new balancer. Strike 3.Dorman, you're OUT !!! Forget this out-sorced Chinese junk. Immediately, I began searching for another balancer in the ~ $100 range.What I found was PowerBond (Dayco)... bought at a local O'reilly. Nice product, spins true. PowerBond balancer, made in Australia.Photos show the Dorman balancer (messy grease package) next to the Dayco-PowerBond balancer (excellent fit, finish, packaging)

The "Made in China" worried me a bit but it fit perfectly.The grooves in my old balancer had worn in a way that was damaging to the belt.It runs true and eliminated my belt wear issue.
