If you have never done this job, it isn't as hard as you might think. This part fit perfect and looks well made. I cannot speak to how long it will last, but so far so good.Side note...Go ahead and get the proper tool to hold the old pulley to get it loose. If you search here, you will see it. I used the long handle one to get it loose and the adjustable one to hold the new one in place to tighten. Why two? The long one gives you leverage for breaking it loose. The shorter one allowed my Craftsman 22mm socket and a breaker bar to get in there and seat for a good grip. Maybe a 22mm deep would have worked, but I don't have one....yet. buy new belts while you are in there if yours are old or damaged.

Old crank pulley on my 06 Legacy was wobbling due to worn out rubber on the pulley. This pulley runs nice and even now. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is that the holes to put the special Subaru tool into aren’t as deep as the OEM ones, causing installation to be much tighter due to needing to use a longer socket.

My crank pulley split in 2 on my 06 Forester, what a disaster! It ripped my AC belt apart as well.This balancer by Dorman works great!

So far, so good. Replaced the old flywheel on my 2002 Outback where the rubber had worn down and the pulley was slipping and squealing. This fit right and is working as it should.

Bought this for my 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i. You get what you pay for. The overall quality and fitment is poor(made in China). Pulley wobbled terribly, then bought Subaru OEM crank pulley instead like I should have, well made and runs perfectly smooth. Some parts you just have to save up and buy the original factory part and I believe this is one of them.

The Dorman 594-166 was a perfect replacement part for my 2005 Subaru Baja Turbo, Sad that my factory original only went 100K to failure. You might want to consider doing other repairs at the same time you do this balancer such as the serpentine belts, in my case I did the timing belt and water pump also since it was almost to the recommended mileage of 105K for replacement.
