The product lists the 2008 Chevy Aveo as compatible but does not actually fit properly. Joint hits against the hood.

Product installs easy. YouTube videos will help. Just be very careful that you put the taller wiper post on the right ,"passenger " side. It's hard to tell, but there is a difference. If you don't get it correct, when you close the hood, the drivers side, "left " post wedges up against the underside of the hood, and you'll chip the paint. I had to turn mine around from out of the box. Hope this helps.

This appears to be a good product. It’s looks like it has good quality materials and is constructed well. However, it turns out there is a “left and right” orientation to it and I would like to think that it would be packaged in the same orientation as it goes onto the car but the one I got did not. When I finished installing it (the first time), when I went to close the hood, the driver side wiper arm caught the edge of the hood and if I had fully closed it (which I did not), the hood would have been pressing down on the wiper arm.As it sits in the car, looking from the front of the car, there is a main support rod that holds the assembly to the car, attaches to the wiper motor (acting as the wiper motor mount) and on either end has two shafts that the wiper arms attach two. Those shafts have a plate on them that extends down and provide the attaching point for the tie rods that go to the motors connecting plate. So, its orientation is, main support rod on top, tie rods and motor connection on the bottom. It turns out that the wiper arm shafts are two different lengths with the shorter one being on the driver’s side of the car. However, the replacement piece came out of the box with the main support rod at the top, the tie rods at the bottom but the longer shaft was on the driver’s side. That’s how it was installed (the first time). The difference in shaft length is only about 1/8th of an inch so it’s not obvious until you try closing the hood after fulling installing it (which is how I found out there was a problem). There were also no installation instructions which I did not think was a problem because (fortunately) this is a pretty easy install. But because it can be installed in two different ways, one of which is wrong, it should have instructions as well as it should be packaged with it being in its correct orientation I.E. how it goes on the car. To be fair, the two mounting bushings are slightly different which is how I finally figured out that it was reversed but the difference, like the shaft lengths, is subtle so it’s easily missed.I’m not going to say, “don’t buy this product”. It looks and feels like it’s well constructed with quality parts, but at a minimum it should have instructions with diagrams showing how to correctly install it and ideally it should be packaged how it should be installed, not backwards.
