With the exception of the spring which repeatedly fell off and is flimsy, this is a very solid tool. Need to lock in spring so it doesn’t fall out or it is useless and will be lost.

Teeth do not coincide, will not hold 12oz cotton duck, super cheap quality to the hold and in use . These are the worst canvas stretching plyers I’ve ever used.Terrible, don’t waste your money. The only decent part of this is the spring

My old cast-iron style pliers got lost so I checked out what was available now. These may be a lesser priced brand but its construction is the best I've used over the years. Its solid steel with machining to bring things into line giving it not just a pleasant look (minor importance) but a very nice feel to the grip and a perfect fit on the jaw surfaces. If you get cut on any edges it's because you tried to. One of the points of interest when I was looking is it's unique leverage surface.Highly recommend, regardless of origin.

This tool ripped the canvas. It did not stretch well. Spring kept falling out. I am sure it is a good tool for those that know how to use it.

After getting familiar with how to use this, it got easy to work with. I was trying to stretch canvas over homemade frames for a five piece picture. With a few false starts, this was a good tool for the price and did what I needed.

Super easy to use for stretching canvas. After stretching 7-8 large canvasses for my home, I wondered how I lived without this tool. My original pliers for stretching canvas were all metal with metal jaws. I ripped a few canvasses but nothing major. However, this was irritating. Now, no more rips plus the rubber jaws provide a sure grip that requires less strength to hold the canvas securely between the jaws.My only complaint is the spring that fits between the plier's handles; it isn't attached to the metal and comes off the protruding pins readily. Despite this flaw, I love this tool and will buy a wider-jawed one soon.
