Ok so I should've waited for Prime Day to get it $30 cheaper. But that's not why I'm rating it low. First Amazon, the box was damaged, chipped paint on the corners. I believe that is due to Amazon's handling and the condition of the box upon delivery. For the price I paid or any purchase I make I deserve a product that is delivered without damages and looks pristine.. As for functionality, the turning mechanism isn't very smooth but it works. I've pressed several TNs and am satisfied thus far with the pressure.Hey Amazon -- do better!

So far, so good. It has held up very well and it very solid. It clamps down evenly and solidly. Good press!

Pros:This press is heavy enough and has large rubber feet so you can twist the handle when compressing the paper without holding the base. I was positively impressed by how stable and heavy it is.Cons:The upper (moving) plate screw and guiding pins are somewhat loose, so you need to slow down and help to center the plate manually right before it touches the top of the paper stack. If you remember to do that, you will get the job done every time. The position of side walls is in principle adjustable up to 1cm on each side, which would be really useful to hold letter size paper better (in stock configuration you have extra space left so that A4 paper also fits in), but sadly the guiding pins for the top plate are placed too wide to allow for such adjustment. What a shame - this could have been a nice feature and the design already has half of what's needed. But, to be fair, the manufacturer never promised such adjustability in their advertising to begin with. The back wall needs to be mounted by the user using two screws, which is easy. But these screws were just thrown into the cardboard box along with a hex key (which is useless because the screws have Philips heads). So if you are not searching the package well enough, you might think that the screws are missing. I ended up using my own metric screws before I found the stock screws thrown in at the bottom of the cardboard box.So, overall, a workable unit if you take necessary steps to deal with few of its shortcomings.

Works pretty well for me, no complaints really just have to hold it in place when tightening it up.

It works fairly well. I used it to make my first sketchbook and so far so good! Would definitely recommend.

Used this as a book press. The press part worked well, but where the handle attaches to the flat press part, there are indentations where the screws are. These indentations leave marks on the top of whatever you're pressing. You need to have an extra layer of something strong in there for that not to happen
