Works great on Windows and Linux at various resolutions. No drivers needed, just use something like OBS or VLC. I use it to capture video from my satellite box and stream it over the network to another room.

Basic video capture device, you get what you pay for. Can’t say it would be good for 1080P, but it might be my computer.

This is a really good capture card for the price, I did have to wait a week for it to come from America but to my mind it was well worth the wait,. The moving images on the TV screen are as good as the source subject, if you want a capture card to record fast moving games you might need to spend a bit more money but for my own experience and for what I want it for then I have no complaints. I found it was fairly easy to set up and I liked the fact that it is made of a decent aluminium alloy instead of plastic like so many other capture cards are, I do use 8k cables, maybe this helps with the quality of my recordings but like I say, for the price I think you would be hard pressed to find a better capture card.

Has a bit of a learning curve to get it set up, and don't bother if your computer uses integrated graphics instead of a card. But once you've got it figured out, it works pretty well!

I just got this and plugged it all in and set it up in OBS, and I can't hear the game audio. I'm not sure if I set this up incorrectly, but it's really discouraging since everything else is perfectly fine

I’ve been using it for a while now to stream my switch, and it does everything it says it does. I’ve not exactly been careful with how I’m keeping it and it hasn’t broken in thé slightest.

I tried using this device several times in several different configurations on a mac - USB C - for HDMI Out to a monitor and for Camera capture IN - and no matter what, it always shuts down after some time - ranging from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. The device gets so hot, I can't even touch it... I assume that's why it's shutting down. When I plug it directly into my Mac - not through a hub, my machine immediately gives a warning of the USB Device using too much power. This device is not usable - and perhaps I got a bad one, but I don't see how to get tech support.

I plugged it right in and no software required to get it working. I used the free OBS video software, and it recognized the device right away. It has great options for saving video files and it was good to be able to game on my monitor while I record my footage. There is the slightest lag, maybe a few milliseconds, but I think if you are doing regular gaming and not ultra-competitive matches, gaming while recording is a good option.I tested a non-copyright video input as well and there were also no problems at all.

I've used several image capture devices over the years. As I teach political communication, I use videos from different sources in my courses. I own several models of capture cards, some of which are quite expensive, but this has become my favorite. I bought it to take advantage of the power offered by USB-C. This port probably makes a difference, as the other cards I have without an independent power supply don't work as well. The card has an audio input and output, which makes it very versatile. Finally, I have yet to encounter any problems with HDCP-protected signals.

You have to change your output settings of the program you use to stream to 720p 60 fps or you will not have HD. Other than that, it works perfectly surprisingly. Unless you want a card that can stay connected to the inside of your pc, this one does the same job the others do :)
