I ordered this item for use at my parents' place. They've got a Starlink V2 dish, but because of the shape of their house (essentially a long rectangle), the best placement for the Starlink modem is right in the centre of the house. However, that means the outer edges get progressively worse signal strength, which was becoming quite frustrating for them.I looked at the original Starlink-branded ethernet adapter initially, but this third-party option is far better value for money, whilst ultimately serving exactly the same purpose. By plugging this adapter in between the dish and modem, it allows me to hook up a proper WiFi mesh setup throughout the house.Again, I could have used the official Starlink-branded mesh nodes to extend coverage, but this approach allowed me to use any brand of my preference instead. I find the TP-Link Omada range to be really excellent value for money when it comes to enterprise-grade mesh networking, so I was able to set up a much more robust system.The installation was straightforward - just plug it in between the existing connections and you're good to go. No complicated setup or configuration required.So overall, this is a brilliant product if you've got the need for it, particularly if you want the flexibility to choose your own mesh networking equipment rather than being locked into the manufacturer's ecosystem. Highly recommended for anyone in a similar situation.

I picked up this Starlink suitable Ethernet Adapter (RJ45) as a backup for my Starlink setup, and it’s a good bit of gear. I’ve already got one running with the rectangle dish, working perfectly, but I figured a spare wouldn’t hurt. It’s easy to use – just plug it in, no messing with drivers or software, and it’s ready to go. The copper build keeps the connection stable and fast, which is great for streaming or whatever else I need. Feels well-made and durable, like it’ll last a while. I might use it for the laptop or TV down the track since it works with heaps of devices. Overall, a quality adapter – happy to have it in the toolkit!
