As a machinist for over 45 years I can say this motor support is worth way more than I paid for it . Came with everything you needed and the packaging was top notch . I think it would support any outboard up to 250 HP . Great design and build would highly recommend !!!

I ordered this item to support a 9.9hp outboard kicker mounted on an offshore bracket. It turns out this item is not suitable for my particular application. Since the motor is offset from the boat's centerline and mounted further back from the trailer's rear, there is no configuration that will reach the motor and trailer. That's not the seller's fault. This is just to serve others that might have the same setup as mine.The item is well constructed with quality materials. Support ends are a solid composite material. Post is good and hardware of good quality. No issues here. The instructions provided with the parts could definitely use some improvement. The instructions mostly cover the assembly of the included items, but not all. There is a "U"-shaped bracket that is not shown or explained how it should be used. The biggest shortcoming is that there is no illustration nor explanation of how to mount this device. Sure, you can search the internet but the manufacturer should include this information. Must knock off a star for this reason.If you are replacing a similar device or know how all these parts work together including bungees that also are left out of the instructions, this product will work well for most.

This adjustable transom saver is a great quality product. All of the parts are made well and are sturdy. I’m going to feel better going down the road using this on our 1957 Evenrude Fast Twin 18 horsepower motor. Very easy to install and it’s adjustable so if we decide to swap motors we can still use it. Price is fair for such a heavy duty product.

The JY PERFORMANCE Adjustable Boat Transom Saver for Outboard Motor is very sturdy and holds very well even on extremely rough roads. The transom saver came with good instructions and all needed hardware to include two good quality bungee straps for securement. It took only a few minutes to assemble and was ready to use immediately. It's quick and easy to adjust length and has plenty of range for adjustment. It's strong and durable enough to last for many years of good service. I'm extremely pleased with this transom saver and its ability to hold solidly even on some of the roughest roads here in Oklahoma. My last transom saver never held on a single trip. I'm very satisfied with the quality and performance of the JY PERFORMANCE Transom Saver and consider it an outstanding value!

This is a very well-made transom mount. The mount itself is well-made and feels like I'll get plenty of use out of it, especially considering I'm using it on a 12hp outboard on a 13-foot dinghy. Installation is a breeze. Prop your motor up, hook the mount on the transom, adjust it to fit snugly under the lower unit on the motor, and strap it on using the included bungee cords. It really doesn’t get easier than this. It holds the motor tightly and takes so much stress off my transom. This works perfectly for me, and considering the price, it's even better!
