KYB's themselves are good replacement struts, but these ones in particular are extremely under dampened for the Legacy GT (sedan or wagon). They are very soft and causes the rear end to bounce more than the front. Essentially, they are under dampened. Get the KYB 341275 instead, which are the rear replacements for the 2003/2004 Legacy GT. They are much better dampened, recover quicker, and are better paired with the 2005/2009 front replacements.

I bought these from Warehouse Deals for a deal, and kept them on the shelf for a couple of years before installing them. I was glad that i had them when I needed them. I now have KYBs on all four corners of my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT, and they handle well.

The factory uses a KYB strut so this was a good replacement.

Perfect fit! Replaced rear struts on my 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i (at 60,000 miles) and it feels like new again. These are essentially OEM replacements at a fraction of the cost. (KYB produces OEM struts for Subaru). Please note if you are confused by the picture, dont be. The product picture is a generic KYB shock absorber which look nothing like the product. I used KYB's website to search for the correct part # to ensure I would get the right parts. If your intending to replace the rear struts on your 2005-2009 Legacy these are the ones to use!

Simple OEM replacement that pairs well with most springs from the Legacy GT! These dont wear out often so you may be replacing them once for the life of your Legacy!
