I put these on the front of my 1989 LWB Montero, it also had KYBs on it before and they lasted a long time, never actually failing but they did get loose, which is why I decided to replace them again with KYBs, the ride is smooth yet grippy, it has a good balance of on and off road capability. It greatly reduced front pitch when hard breaking and increased the front handling very nicely.Off the road it nicely smooths out bumps while maintaining contact with the ground.
