I found these shocks are great on my 2005 Jetta, however I was surprised to find one of them leaking badly when I was doing a brake job the other day. I installed the shocks in 2018, now looking for warranty.

This shock is the best I've ever used. The provision for ride adjustment is perfect when set to a middle adjustment point 4, for a firm ride with a heavy duty suspension on a '08 Jetta City. Which includes new coils and struts, front and back. It gives me precise cornering without body roll, yet still gives a pleasant ride on smooth surfaces. Also, it's able to absorb annoying bumps at moderate speeds with ease. Overall, the handling is outstanding and greatly improved.

I bought what I thought was the best shock on the market. The shock comes with a dust cover that is not long enough. The piston is not properly protected from road dirt, so you need to replace the dust cover. The adjustment on the shock made no noticeable difference, when the dial was changed. The shock is good but not as good as stock shocks.

Does what it says on the box. Adjustment knob is in a great spot, and makes a noticeable difference when dialing in your setup for the car. Last set lasted about four years (100k kms) with a set of 2" drop cup series springs. New set on the car with AAC Firestone bags in the back.

Purchase these for my daughter vehicle, improved the ride and comfort immensely. Shop that did installation, said they were easily to install.

Fit and finish: Excellent. A bit showy (not bad), due to the red color peeking from the rear underside of the car.Comfort: Great! Had them set at the 4/8 position (middle setting) and they're cushy without being bouncy. Will tweak settings some more after a week of normal driving.Adjustment: Really easy: Just crawl behind the tire and turn the knob. That's it!Difficulty to install: Mild: The top nut that fits the strut mounts is really HARD to tighten and you really need two people, one to tighten the top nut, while another pair of hands hold the body of the strut AND the little wrench that keeps the strut rod from turning clockwise. Also, in my '02 Golf GTI I had to chop off the top "knob" from the supplied bump stops; otherwise, the strut shaft would never slide past the top of the strut mount, were the aforementioned nut would need to be tightened.UPDATE:After just one year, I cannot stop giving compliments on ride quality and adjustability that my GTI now has.
