I had looked on KYB website and thought these would be made in Japan. When they arrived, made in Malaysia. I have no idea about their manufacturing capability. Would have preferred Japan (or US of course).Fit is okay and ride seems fair. Durability is the question to be answered.

They raised my front end a smidge!! So far so good, we’ll see how long they last but the install was straight forward so long as you have the tools and the know how. I measured these next to my old original Toyota bilsteins and they’re the same but the new ones seem to have lifted my front end a smidge leveling out the truck.

This shock has been working well on the front of my Tacoma. Had difficulty with installation because spring locations don't provide a good angle for the lower mounts, so twisting is necessary to line up the lower eye mount with the bracket on the lower control arm. In addition, beware of the "lifetime warranty". KYB doesn't handle warranty issues for consumers, and Amazon only offers returns for 365 days. Retailers have been reluctant to get involved with items they didn't sell. My problem was with one rear shock absorber. If I had it to do again, I would probably look for a complete assembled unit with mounts properly aligned.

Don't know yet. Didn't get the rest of the parts I wanted to put everything back together. It's holding up the job.
