High end motherboards with premium connectivity will have UEFI features that enable you to split up one PCIe slot into multiple distinct slots. This one takes your x16 and gets x4 + x4 + x4 + x4, but your motherboard needs to support it.If you really want 4, put it in your top slot in your consumer motherboard, and hope your firmware supports it. That slot will probably be fully populated with all x16. Put your video card in another slot. On paper it will be a lot slower on that slot, but in practice, a good game engine doesn't hammer PCIe, at all. That is why you have all those gigs of GPU memory. If you have a fairly nice motherboard, you might be able to get x8 + x8 in your top two x16 slots, for VM passthrough. In that configuration, you can expect two of the NVMe to work on this card, if you put it below your GPU. Even two working PCIe 4.0 nvme in a slot is extremely powerful. Most people don't have so much bandwidth in their auxilliary nvme slots. It's often crippled down to 3.0 and might be as narrow as x2 per extra nvme. This at x8 + x8 4.0 would be beast, if your stuff supports it.Don't freak out if you can't use all four, the card expect you to know what you are doing.Worst case, this will work with one NVMe. Even in that case, this is a very robust and solid way to mount an NVMe, even if you don't need all four.

El producto no es funcional, como lo debería ser. Solo funciona simultáneamente un puerto a la vez, perdiendo el sentido de que sea de 4 puertos. Eviten este producto.

After struggling with it to recognize both drives I had I stalled in it I then find out (through digging and research) that the motherboard has to specifically support (bifurcation). This would have been nice to know before buying it. It will be sent back.
