This is really good because the test results come back in a 48-72 hour window instead of several weeks. If you did have a major mold problem and hopefully you don't but if you did you would be sitting around in toxic air for weeks with other testing kits. This one you get a lot of dishes, 12, to test with. It can be stored for awhile when it's not needed and you have a pretty good guidebook on what mold types there are and how to get them tested. Each tray is individually wrapped making it more easy to use. It covers pretty much all of the mold and it is not expensive for this whole set and you get extras like gloves, q-tips and little baggies for the samples.

This home kit was very easy to use and comes with enough Petri dishes to test a lot of areas within the home. The guide is easy to read and helps you to correctly identify mold spores that grow on the Petri dishes. I look forward to purchasing more of these kits to test new properties before purchasing.

Very easy to use, comes with clear instructions. There are two sets of 6 tests. I used only one set, 3 at different locations throughout the house and three on the air vents. There was some growth after two days on one of them. I suspected mold at that location, so it works... 🙂

So many things to say about this. Mold can really cause a LOT of chronic and debilitating illnesses, especially if you have the HLA gene and cannot process mold. You can be really sick when exposed over time!Many mold tests cost $400 or more just for the basic types of mold spore testing.Others have a kit that are pretty cheap, and then you have to pay a lot of money to send it off to a lab to get it diagnosed.This one you don't need to send it off, but they give you a color booklet that has instructions and color images to compare to the stuff you are growing in these petri dishes!!First two days, nothing appeared. It took 4 days and more to have these things show up. I posted images of the petri dishes that did have some things growing in them. Garage and Laundry room and my sauna room were the worst!! My office has something that looks more like a bacteria specimen vs a mold or fungus.After 5 days the master bedroom and bath, and my husband's office had no growth of anything in them. No growth from the samples taken from our living room or kitchen. So I am thankful for that!!And, from pictures online of other mold tests, what I have on these petri dishes isn't even that much!So, I am grateful for this test kit.

WHY DID I ORDER THESE: I am a nurse so for me to know if my home has active mold growth is very important to me. I wanted this test kit specifically because it doesn’t cost any additional money to get the test results.WHAT’S THE GOOD: I like the packaging. The instructions are written much better than I would have ever anticipated! There were no spelling errors and they were very well written. The instructions are very easy to follow. If read, the user should have no problem setting these up. When the time comes to read the growth in the Petri dish; the instruction book very clearly shows pictures of different molds and educates the reader about each mold. If the user still has challenges with self reading their Petri dishes there is a free email to send photos to for the company to help identify for you!!!I will update my review with regards to what has grown and how easy it is for me to identify the correct mold. Hopefully I will have no growth in my house but you never know and that is why I wanted this 12 test kit.WHAT’S THE BAD: Nothing so far and these are very easy to use.Stay tuned for update in a few days.

Just received our JEKIJEKO Mold detection Test Kit for Home. These twelve little Petri dishes are very light, so you can place them in your air conditioner, or taped to it, in moist showers or laundry rooms, attics, and heat pump systems. You can test 12 areas once, or six areas twice.I just placed four dishes in two of our heat pumps, attic and shower. I will updates this review after I have the results. So far I am very pleased. Great concept and easy to do for peace of mind.

Finally feel confident about our home safety! This mold test kit exceeded my expectations. As a first-time user, I was amazed by how easy it was to collect samples - just swab and seal! The instructions were crystal clear with steps and photos (perfect for non-tech people like me). The lab report confirmed our suspicion about the damp basement.
