Brake Caliper
Where?
- A brake caliper straddles each rotor in the front, which is mounted to the wheel hub
How many?
- While many ATVs have 4 brake calipers, 1 for each wheel, it is not uncommon for an ATV to have only 3 calipers.
How it works?
- When the brakes are applied, brake fluid is pushed from the master cylinder to the caliper piston. The force of the brake fluid causes the piston to apply pressure to the brake pads, which then squeeze the rotor. The friction and heat created by the brake pads on the rotor creates a drag on the rotor

Can a caliper mounting bracket go bad?
- The brake caliper pin can slide into a bore in the bracket, the rubber boot can fail and allow water or other outside dirt into the bore, causing corrosion and binding.
What does a loose caliper sound like?
- A loose caliper will move around and make a clicking sound that comes from the wheel. Each brake has a backing plate that if bent inward will rub against the rotor or caliper and create a clicking sound.

I already trusted this brand as I also have have a battery from them in my quad. My old calipers were messed up and started boiling the brake fluid and these fit just like OEM and worked even better.

Caliper brackets are standard thread ... can am bolts are metric. Either send correct bolts or correct caliper mounting plates.

Work fine just like they should. Shipped fast recieved earlier then expected. Didn't come with correct bolts had to use the stock bolts but that wasn't a huge deal but would have really liked to have the correct bolts.

Bleeder valves , and or bleeder screws were a real pain to seal up kept leaking other than that they fit perfectly fine added bonus brackets were good except too,one threads were a little cross threaded not a bad price for everything the rods that hold the brake pads rattle too 😉

I bought these for my 2012 Canam Outlander. They are just like OEM. They fit well and look good painted black. They come with everything you need. Brakes pads and Calipers and Mounting Bracket. Just have to put the Mounting bracket in the slide holes. And then put the pads in and hook up the brake line. And your good to go. Then bleed the brakes. That’s it! Super simple. Definitely highly recommended.
