As someone who changes the oil on all of his family's vehicles, I really wish I had this tool all along. Taking the oil filter off always causes oil to spill all over the frame on my Hondas and then If I don't wipe up all of the crevices, it drips onto the garage floor. This tool solves that by both allowing you to loosen the filter by hand (after you have used a wrench to break it loose) and catch the dripping oil into the funnel while gripping and removing the filter. It has a small cap on the tip that easily unscrews but I would just tip the who thing into the oil pan to clear the oil. I don't think I would use this as a funnel as I have lots of funnels but instead use it exclusively for the filter removal. It can hold a pretty substantial amount of oil, but I think its best used on smaller filters and not on tractors and such. The plastic is very tough but soft enough to allow you to grip and turn the filter. I did a fluid test on it and it did not leak at all. I think the hardest part of owning it would be having to clean it between uses, but I would probably just stuff a shop towel in it and leave it until next time I use it since it's just going to catch more dirty oil anyway. Great tool especially for the price.
