You don’t use a pastry brush very often, but when you do, you’d prefer not to have to pick bristles out of your food with every single swipe.The first time I used it and bristles came out onto my bread, I thought ,”okay it’s new, a few bristles coming out the first time is not a big deal.” But every single time I have used it, so many bristles are shed. I have only gently hand washed it; and finally, the last time I washed it I tried just pulling out loose bristles. I thought maybe this would help get rid of all the loose ones. ALL the bristles started coming out. I would love to return, but it’s past the return period.In short, for a $14 pastry brush that came highly recommended, I am highly disappointed.

I was a little worried that I’d never get it clean the first time I used olive oil with it but it surprisingly washed right clean with dish soap and water. I haven’t had an issues with bristles coming lose either.

At last a pastry brush that does what I want. The silicone ones are too chunky and the bristle ones inevitably lose bristles.

First couple of uses, I had a few bristles fall out, but now it works great. Amazingly dishwasher safe, I was scared to put it in the dishwasher because I had a different kind melt before but this kind has held up great in and out of the dishwasher.

The brush I had before that I purchased from a store really got messed up so I only used this one 1 time so far. I used it by painting barbs sauce on my chicken and it worked good!

This replaced a silicon "brush" that got more of my oil-lemon-seasoning mixture on the counter than on the bird. This behavior was due to the lack of absorption and the spring-back of the faux bristles.Aside from a chicken, I also used this for an egg white wash on a challah. No drips. No splash. Uniform coating. What a relief.

Love it! I bought this as a gift for my grandmother she had been looking for a pastry brush like this in stores and couldn't find one. This one remindes her of the one she had when I was a little kid an she lost it in the house fire so I am so happy I was able to find this one to gift her.

Love this pastry brush - great bristles, comfortable handle - but I’m disappointed it came apart in less than a month with only a couple of uses. I wish it clicked back together, but it won’t hold. I’m going to have to glue it!
