The colored chalk did permanently stain some of the white things i was working on. But i guess that was my fault because after i stained my clothes and read dozens of forums in my attempts to remove the stains, i learned that the general advice is to not use the colored chalk on areas you will see out side the seam.Now i prefer wax chalk that will disappear when you steam or iron it. There are also heat removable pens

These make nice fine lines and get into tight spots... even more so if you put a little chip in one edge to get a fine point. Other reviews complained that theirs came broken into pieces. Mine showed up whole other than a couple crumbs. There was a piece of foam in the case that helped keep them secure. My only problem with them is that I have trouble getting one out of the case due to my fat fingers. Not a big deal though!

I purchased this set to mark stains on clothing so I could see them easily when doing laundry and be able to spot treat before washing. I was excited to see that this set came in various colors so I could use different colors on different clothing. I was disappointed after opening the box, and attempting to use the first piece, that it was very light and brittle and broke very easily. Since opening the box, it now doesn't close properly and the pieces don't stay in the slots in the case very well, and since they are triangular in a triangular shaped box, it's difficult to get them in the spot properly to 'sit'. They move around a lot and break easily since they are thin and brittle. The chalk does mark clothing adequately if you don't mind using bits and pieces. Not recommended.
