Works great. (only advice, use a really small flat head screw driver to remove old and insert new one. There's YouTube videos on how to do it.).

Never changed these before, but once I got my old set off our 2007 Prius with a flathead screwdriver, I was surprised that these just pop right on, no tools necessary!Never knew the peace I was losing out on having to push up and hold in place our trunk until having this new set on. Strong enough to push the whole trunk door after opening it just a little.Very simple and minimal packaging. Sleek look. Easy install. Most importantly, works very well.

What can I say! The old leaky stays on my wife's car (which she is wishing for antique plates) had become a leaky hazard of a head injury.Look for a YouTube video on installation. Use a ladder to support the hatch whilst doing the job, and wear nitril gloves because the old leaky stays are messy.I'm ordering a set for my old Xterra next Whole job took 20 minutes. ! wHoOt !

We had been meaning to get the rear hatch strut supports replaced at one of the dealer service visits, finally got the car in for an oil change and asked. They didn't have the parts in stock, so while waiting in the customer area I was browsing on Amazon to see if those might be something I could order and install myself. The dealer estimate installed was $220, but there they were on Amazon for about $200 less. I ordered as soon as I got home from the dealer, after finding a couple of YouTube videos making it look easy. It was true! I spent more time cleaning all the old crud and accumulated debris from around the upper hatch closure area than in installing the struts. The how-to videos show how to pop the clips on the old ones, just be sure you have the hatch propped up to max height before removing them. A wee bit of grease in the socket holes on the new ones and with a slight pressure they were on, and working well ever since. Don't worry, the screw adjust length was fine at the minimal unscrewed point, just there to match up the socket hole direction with the balls. You will wonder why you didn't do this sooner, if you have hit your head a few times on that hatch only being halfway up. The support is just right for the need, hatch goes up smoothly without excess pressure or bounce.
