These are substantial, strongly built stands, suitable for supporting bookshelf-sized speakers in main left/right or side or rear surround positions. With an attractive base. height-adjustable upright tubes that are simple and flat black, and provision to hide speaker wiring within the stands, they will look just fine in use.The stand has a glossy, heavy glass base that's painted black on the bottom and smooth, flat black finishes on all the other components. Carpet-penetrating pointed feet and cushioned feet are both included for the base, allowing the stand to rest firmly, without moving, on either carpet or hard flooring. The upright tube and the seat bracket for the speaker is made of heavy gauge steel. A vertical support bracket for the rear of the speaker is provided to help prevent the speaker from tipping on the seat bracket. Adjustment knobs for the stand height and the depth of the speaker support bracket are large and easy to operate. The packaging of the components is excellent and protects this heavy product very well. Assembly is easy with good IKEA-style instructions, small components in strips of pouches that are labeled and sequences in the order they are used during installation. The simple tools provided in the kit are all that's needed to finish the assembly. The completed stand is very stable and strong.Light-weight speakers can safely rest on the seat bracket and be mechanically attached to the vertical support bracket; fasteners and spacers are included to make this very easy for speakers with a keyhole for hanging on a wall. For speakers without a keyhole or heavier speakers a carefully used drill may be necessary for pilot holes needed to attach the speaker to the stand's seat bracket or the vertical support bracket with screws. The instructions state an 11 pound weight limit for the speaker. The stand's components and design are probably capable of supporting much more than that limit, but most speakers that can be balanced with their weight evenly on the stand will not weigh much more than that limit. I would not be concerned with putting a 20 pound speaker on the stand if it was small enough to properly balance on the stand, as described below. The following is not an issue; it is a recommendation for matching the stand to speaker size: The limiting factor for speaker size is the depth of the stand's support area. With the stand's vertical support bracket adjusted to its largest opening it can support speakers with a maximum depth dimension of about 9 to 10 inches while keeping the speakers center of gravity close to the center of the the stand's base (see the photo showing this dimension). A much larger speaker could cause the speaker and stand to easily tip and fall forward. Most speakers with a 6.5 inch woofer or smaller will work, most with an 8 inch woofer won't.Summary - These are excellent speaker stands that have a very high value for money = 5 Stars!

I ordered these speaker stands to use in my office stereo setup. I’ve been using a pair of 16” acrylic display stands for the past 5 years or so and it’s been fine. But when I saw these stands recommended for me, I decided to give them a try - and I’m so glad I did! They have completely changed my stereo’s sound for the better.Assembly was fairly easy following the detailed, illustrated instructions. I had originally planned on using them in my home office with a set of rectangular bookshelf speakers that look similar to the ones they show in their ad photos. But trying to mount them using the adjustable rear support frame would require drilling a hole in the cabinet back for the mounting screw since mine didn’t have the keyhole slot - the other option would be to use screws through the stand’s mounting base, but once again that would require drilling holes in the cabinets. I decided that before I went that route I’d try them with my main audio system out in the livingroom since those speakers already have factory made mounting holes in the bottom. These speakers have been on 31” wood plant stands since I put it all together about 10 years ago, and I’ve always been content with how it sounded. Turning the stands’ mounting bases diagonally lined up the mounting holes perfectly with those on the speakers so that instantly became the better fit. I removed the wood stands, mounted the speakers to the new stands, put them in place, and adjusted the leveling spikes on the underside of the stands’ thick tempered glass bases. I have them on a tile floor, but it’s uneven, so instead of using the supplied rubber feet, I thought it better to use the spikes anyway so that I could adjust them to get a precise level. The improvement in sound was immediately evident. The weight, structural rigidity, and stability of these stands, paired with the coupling effect of the spikes on the tile floor give the speakers a lively presence that the wood plant stands with their felt bottomed feet apparently were just not providing - I never would have believed it until hearing it for myself. While the wood stands go with the rest of my furniture, these speaker stands go with the music and that’s much more important to me, so here in the main system they will stay!Overall I’m very impressed with the quality of these stands and their versatility of accommodating different speaker types. And based on the sound improvement, they work much better than anticipated. For a reasonable price for the pair, there’s a lot of bang for the buck. Totally recommended with five stars!

These are well-made speaker stands and look great next to my piano. The gloss black finish looks modern, and the weight of the glass base keeps them stable. However, I ran into two minor issues.First, they wobble a little when using the rubber feet. This might be fixable by fiddling with the feet and trying to tighten them, but they really should be held on with a screw rather than just slipping onto the stud. I was never able to get mine perfectly level.Second, the bracket on the back of the stand is narrow and runs up the center, which blocks the banana plug from plugging into my speaker. I’ll probably have to bend the bracket out slightly or rewire the speakers. A better design would have made the bracket a bit wider to allow room for cables and connectors. That said, I’m happy with these. They look great and feel solid.
