Since I’m disabled now, I love this electric shredder for my daughter when she cooks

This electric cheese grater is a game-changer in the kitchen. The 3-in-1 functionality for shredding, grating, and slicing is very useful, and the detachable components make it easy to clean. It handles cheeses and vegetables well, though it’s a bit noisy during operation. If you frequently prepare meals or snacks, this grater will definitely speed up your prep time.

The Electric Rotary Cheese Grater, 3 in1 Cheese Shredder Grater for Home Kitchen, Detachable Food Slicer Nut Grinder may be a device to safe on chopping and slicing but it has a design flaw where the spinning blade is not protected. Be careful when there's children around. I used this for chopping vegetables for my salad. It's ok just use a bigger casserole dish to catch the cuttings.

I wanted to eat more vegetables, and julienning is not something I can safely do AND keep my fingers, so…Being able to thinly shred vegetables like cucumbers is great. The blades cut through it easily. My only complaint is the round blade doesn’t seem to “lock” into the machine…and so it kept falling out after a minute or two. I’m not sure if this is user error, though.

My hubby and I share cooking responsibilities, and grating cheese is one of those tasks that we both avoid. Neither one of us have figured out how to do it without grating our knuckles. So, we have used an automatic grater for several years and honestly will never be without one. I got this to replace our older model that served us well, but finally died. This grater works okay, but it doesn’t seem like it will hold up well. It slows down and stops when you try to push a large piece of cheese through. So you have to baby it, cut the cheese in small pieces and only put a little through at a time. It’s certainly better than a manual grater but I am worried about long term use.Overall, if you just need to grate a small amount at a time, this will serve you well. But if you are like me, and grate several blocks every time you use it, it might not be sturdy enough to meet your needs. IMO, this is a 3.5 star product but since the system won’t allow for fractions, I am giving it 4 stars.

Works fine for shredding as advertised but I would strongly caution against this if you have any kids who help in the kitchen. Unlike many modern cutting and grinding appliances such as a food processor, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from putting your fingers directly into the running shredders. The power does not require any secondary safety from the pushing mechanism. If you’re kid and curious cat-free and don’t cook drunk or depressed, go for it!

This electric grater offers significant benefits as a labor-saving device but not without drawbacks and quirks. The plusses include an electric motor, which takes out the drudgery, a press bar that keeps hands out of the way, and three sets of included blades: large-sized shredding, julienne, and slicing blades. It can handle soft vegetables as readily as cheeses and is easy to clean. It works best when inserting medium-sized chunks and pushing them down with the press bar.The drawbacks include 1) Items coming out of the shredder spray out in several directions at once. You need a large plate beside it to catch everything. As you can see in my photos, it can make quite a mess. 2) The open, spinning blades also create dangers if very young children are around. While it's not moving fast enough to sever a finger, it could lacerate and injure if left unattended. 3) Everything is plastic except the blades. While ours works fine, it would be reasonable to question its durability. You will notice a few quirks when assembling it or taking it apart. First, place the blades you want to use into the cylinder. To remove the one set of blades, push DOWN on the cylinder. That's counterintuitive, and I almost broke them while trying to flip the blades out. To install them, push them up from the bottom. Next, assemble the transparent plastic shell. This goes into the white base and locks in place with a silver knob. That knob is very flimsy and gives the entire product a somewhat cheap feel. Third, push the cylinder into the transparent shell. It locks into the shell in an odd way. Push it once, and it locks; push it again, and it releases.Still, if you're tired of grating by hand, this can help. My spouse is interested in this, as she often needs to grate a large papaya for salads, a challenging task if done by hand. I use grated cheese quite often; now, I can prepare a batch that will last several days. While I have reservations about how long these parts will last, it works well enough that I can cautiously recommend it if you're comfortable with the above points.

The grater was used on different vegetables and cheddar cheese. The outlet for the chopped items is too low to allow the result to be caught in anything but a container with short sides, which are usually too small for the items being processed.
