On the 3rd use of this brush; the twist of the brush loosened, causing the bristles of the brush to fall out.

I received my brush and I was surprised that it doesnt fit my pole. I went to a specialized place and said the size is universal. They've try the brush on one of their pole and it was more small than what it was supposed to be universal. I watch all the options available and went to an hardware store. I found in plumbing section an adapter to be able to screw the 1/4 thread to 3/8 or else it's a 25 $ worth of genuine adapter or buying new rod. So be careful of the size of your rod. Yes it was written on the box and on the picture it's 1/4 NPT but someone like me who is not a specialist thought it was the universal size. Also that kind of brush is made for prefab chimney not brick ... nowhere it's says in the description.... so be careful on what you need. A too aggressive brush could scratch the inner part of the chimney and cause more creosote.

The central wire frame is of a heavier gauge and there are more cleaning bristles than what I have bought in the past from the mass merchandise super stores. I've only used it once, but it seems like it should hold up to many years of frequent use.

The brush works well but if you have to force it very much in your chimney it will bend fairly easy. This is the problem that I had when using it. If you don't have someone pulling with a rope it is very difficult to keep from bending. Overall not too bad for the money.

Used the brush one time and it fell apart in the chimney. Would not recommend,

Good stiff bristles. Fits 8" ceramic flue tiles perfectly, requires some strength to shift it from moving down to up, but that's good.

The brush itself was great quality; sturdy build and solid structure. However we had to return it because it didn't fit our chimney (we needed a round head). This was our error and does not reflect the product negatively.

This worked as expected. The fit was a bit tight for the chimney, but with a rope tied to one end and the fiberglass poles on the other there were no issues running the brush up and down the chimney (approx. 40') We used two people, one down below with the rope pulling the brush down and the other on top with the poles, screwing them on as needed. Once the brush reached the bottom of the chimney we reversed the process and pulled up on the poles. Next season we may try without the poles and simply use rope on both ends as they flexed too much to be any use when pushing anyway.

Item is fine, it's a chimney brush..But the shipping route, wow...Item shipped from about an hour from my NY address, left NY, went to two different states, then came back to NY. Took about 4 days to arrive...
