The person who reviewed it Oct 2024 saying it didn't turn on probably made the same mistake I did. The outer cover has to be turned HARD to get it to lock. I thought mine didn't work either, until I figured this out after reaching out to Salton Customer Service. They were very helpful. It's a good looking machine. I bought it from another supplier but want to clarify the Oct 2024 review.

I bought Salton grinder in April 2024. Never had a chance to use it because I have a smaller one in use. Today, decided to grind a coffee, October 14th 2024. This grinder WOULD NOT TURN ON AT ALL. DONT WASTE your money on it. Horrible product!

This product was not well tested and poorly designed. Grinder is designed with 12 cup capacity but when coffee beans are filled to 12 cup, it overheats too quickly after 1st grind. Have to wait approx 20 - 25 mins to cool down before you can do a 2nd grind. It only works continuously when you fill up half way (6 cup). Clearly a total waste of time.
