I made this as a short “Dorothy” dress from three checkered cotton tablecloths. (Slim pickings in the cotton gingham fabric category these days — who knew?). It took a LOT of fabric even with a weave where four out of the eight pieces could be cut upside down. With a directional print and the long version, count on miles of fabric.But it is super cute with the princess seams! And easily adjustable in the bust area if you need that.
