I should've paid closer attention to the size specifications because this is smaller than I was expecting. It's not too big of an issue for since I got this use with my portable soldering iron (think TS-100, Pinecil). The silicone holder itself is good quality and is heat resistant. I held my iron set at 380C on for a couple of seconds and it didn't even leave a mark. What I think could be better is everything else that is included. The sponge is actually five thin pieces. You have to wet all five strips for it to fill the holder. What's good about this I guess is when both sides of one strip get dirty enough you can just rotate it to the bottom. This is the most usable item. The brass wool just copper ribbons. They are course and there's not a lot of it. Not very useful. The steel brush is decent but I was taught to not clean the tip of the iron with steel because it will damage it. It says it won't damage the tip but I'm not going to use it. I guess if your tip is heavily oxidized then it may be useful. I took it out and put some actual brass wool in that spot. I did keep it though as it could be useful for other things. If you have a bench where you have a full size iron permanently set up, I wouldn't recommend this. If you only break out the soldering iron occasionally or need something portable then this tip cleaner tray isn't a bad option if you get some brass wool to go with it. Other than the brass wool actually being copper, I can't really fault it as everything else is as it's advertised to be.
