While the addition of these three pieces does indeed make your Stanley tumbler leak-proof, spill-proof you cannot drink out of the tumbler with them in place as there's nowhere for air to enter as you try to drink! I ended up only using the piece that goes over the sip hole. While not exactly leak-proof, spill-proof the result is a less spillable tumbler.

I have 3 boys (2, 4, and 6) that love to run around the house. They are notoriously running into tables and knocking over my FULL Stanley cup - why does it always have to be full when they knock it over? I got so tired of cleaning up spills that I searched for this type of product. This particular one has proved successful! I did not give 5 stars because the I had to create a tiny hole in the circular plug to prevent a vacuum effect with the straw when used. Other than that, I’ve loved not having to clean up spills!
