Very brittle and broke the first time I tried to use one. Disappointed in this product, to say the least. Won't buy again.

a good set of smaller size metric center drills including .5mm size increments. These appear to be HSS and not carbide as reflected in the price.

As said in the title, it's a nice set of bits. The storage of them leaves a lot lacking. Every tool/bit/whatever set should come with at very least a basic way of storing them together. This just has a foam tray that I suppose does work...but it's obviously not meant for keeping, and stores them very inefficiently. That said...it's not like they lie to you about that or claim there's container for them. So still 4 stars.

If you’ve ever dreamed of a toolbox stocked with drills that look durable and professional but may only perform halfway through those dreams, the TJR® 7-piece TiN Coated Center Drill set is here to bring that fantasy to life. Shiny, gold-coated bits glisten from their cardboard box, promising industrial strength and precision—promises that only start to get murky once you actually start using them. These drills, coated in the illustrious Titanium Nitride (TiN), look like they should last a lifetime or two, or at least until you start drilling. Yes, they’ll handle the basics in softer materials and will probably ace any basic woodworking needs. However, throw some metal in front of these bits, and you may see more grinding than cutting as they struggle through the material with questionable sharpness and uneven tips that make you wonder if someone sharpened them after a long night out.But let’s not get too down on them. They’ll mark holes just fine, which is their primary job, after all. For light hobby work or marking spots on wood, they’ll get the job done without a hitch. And for those who are after a drill set that’s more display than hardcore use, they certainly look good sitting there in that deceptively upscale coating. If you’re prepared to temper your expectations, this set might just be a quirky little addition to your DIY setup.

First, these combo drill and countersinks work, and they work fine. I've been kind of picking on the #2 though and it's starting to show some wear a bit earlier than I'd expect. The grind on these is fine, and they produce two uniform curls when new. It's always difficult to tell if you're looking at metal transfer rubbing on the part, or failure of the coating, but I do think the coating is failing on the #2 that's seen most of my use.Still, this set is a convenient way to get a range of sizes to have the right one on hand. Just expect to replace or resharpen any that see frequent use.

Ottime punte, spero durino a lungo.
