This came very well packaged. I was expecting to have to pound in all of the dowels, but the ones on the side were all in place with Styrofoam packed between the columns. I did need to put the ones on the top in. No big deal, just a few gentle taps from my box cutter and they were in. No glue needed. This turns nicely and will be great for all of my little embroidery thread spools.Like the webpage said, this isn't for the really big spools. This certainly is not for serger thread or other thread cones. This will also work well for bobbins. At least my Husquvarna bobbins fit. I have wanted a solution to get my rarely used thread out of plastic boxes. This did the trick for the embroidery thread. I can easliy pick this up and move it between sewing machines.The wood is unfinished. It is very smooth, I didn't feel anything that would catch or snag the thread.

This thread holder is a great purchase. It is as advertised and appears to be well made. It fits a lot of thread and saves space. It rotates smoothly. There are no concerns/issues.Rating System⭐️ 1 star= Disappointed. I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or not as advertised.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some redeeming quality.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = It's passable. Might not have bothered.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars = Mostly Satisfied.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars = Entirely Satisfied. Recommend.

This spool holder is great. It fits well on my sewing table, it's easy to see all your colors which makes my sewing experience much nicer. No more searching for the right thread. Perfect for my needs.
