Line Outputs:

I was able to easily install the USB Audio Interface and set it up for external recording into Ableton Live. When I first plugged the USB Audio Interface in, I did receive an error that told me my USB devices had been disabled due to a device consuming too much power. I unplugged it and ensured that the 48V phantom power switch was 'off' and plugged it back in error free. Once the USB Audio Interface was plugged back in and I configured my inputs, you can see from the second photo that Ableton Live recognized it and refers to it as "USB Audio Device". No software was needed to get the USB Audio Interface recognized!I am using a Scarlett Focusrite Solo and an Edirol as a comparison to the USB Audio Interface. The differences are obvious since the USB Audio Interface is actually more of a clone to a Scarlett Focusrite 2i2. During some test recording, I didn't really notice any difference in the input vs output production and found the USB Audio Interface to be a great input tool.The program(s) that products such as the USB Audio Interface are geared toward are called DAW's - Digital Audio Workstations, and the specific DAW that I use is the Ableton Live. But there are many other DAW's that the USB Audio Interface is likely going to be compatible with as well such as ProTools, Reaper, BandLab (Cakewalk), Cubase, Garage Band, Logic Pro, FL Studio...and the list goes on and on.Beyond the DAW's and the USB Audio Interface, a person should consider making sure your computer is running a sufficient amount of memory and ideally have it topped out to the maximum. It really makes a big difference in digital recording no matter what brand or type of audio interface you have.Anyone who enjoys writing music as a hobby or profession will know the value and use of the USB Audio Interface. It takes an input signal from an instrument such as a guitar or keyboard and digitally processes the signal so it can be input via USB into your computer. It can also process microphonic inputs as well, and the USB Audio Interface is equipped with two mic/XLR inputs. Really a nice little unit.These type of audio interfaces have become pretty much the standard across the digital music platform, and offer a lower cost alternative of getting the job done. By price point alone, I think the USB Audio Interface is about half the price of the Scarlett Solo.I would recommend this USB Audio Interface to musicians at all levels, and especially for those musicians just getting started with digital music creation. I'm sure many miss the days of 8 tracks, cassettes, vinyl and even reel to reel for that matter. But digital music recording isn't going away anytime soon, and the USB Audio Interface is a great tool for this new technology.

These audio Interfaces have become pretty common these days. This one has all the needed inputs for a stereo setup. The pots all feel very nice and the jacks feel pretty solid. The basic input resolution sampling a standard thing and by and large all of these basic audio faces sound the same. Which means if you are ok with the current digital sampling rate, this sounds fine. Of course you need software like Cubase or Pro Tools or the like to make use of this. Another nice touch is that this unit has a on/off switch. These days that is fairly rare. Personally i am not a digital recording fan, BUT you do need to have one of these for home recording for your own multi-tracking. You can add single mono tracks or a stereo pair.Just remember, the sound these interfaces create is very sterile. And digital software in itself is used to create color, texture and ambiance etc. So if you amp your guitar and mic it into a audio interface you get a very straightforward input of your sound into the computer software. And while that may sound ideal, it's not necessarily so. Recording to analog tapes gives more "human" sound. which of course depends on the audio engineer or producer. Unfortunately to many people are seduced by digital sampling. This is not the place to explain the analog vs digital issue. But just remember CD's are going the of the dodo bird. And vinyl continues to surge, and outsells CD's today. But you CANNOT go from a digital source to an analog media ie: vinyl. Digital seems better because of the ability to manipulate the audio. But it isn't. If you need a relatively inexpensive way to input sound, this will work fine.But sooner or later you are going to ask, why is the sound not quit right. Blame digital recording technology, not this box. When or if you ever record for real, record analog and convert to digital as needed. Companies creating vinyl from a digital audio stream are a disgrace. Digital audio is an unfortunate necessity these days. And basic audio interface like this has it's place in the recording world.

The 24-bit/192kHz audio resolution gives you high-quality sound reproduction, this interface is pretty good for some beginning recordings for your music projects or podcasts and things like that. I have tried many audio interfaces as well as name brand ones. The quality is pretty good for starter recordings maybe not for professional stuff but it is a great start.This includes 48V phantom power and it enables the use of condenser microphones, offering versatility for various microphone types and enhancing your audio quality. The phantom power is definitely necessary to use higher quality condenser microphones, it is a must so that is great that it includes it.The plug-and-play functionality simplifies the setup process of this audio interface, this allows you to connect the interface to your device and start recording without the need for additional software installation or any other program. This will work perfectly with your software, I primarily use this with my Mac but also have used this with windows and it works great!The low latency ensures minimal delay between your audio input and output, this is pretty essential for real-time monitoring and live streaming without noticeable delays. This is a great feature that you really need to have if you are looking to record especially if you are looking to go live.This is a pretty great overall interface, it has good sound quality and the sound seems to come out clean and clear. It does not distort or come out fuzzy, just be sure to not add to much gain of course. This is used for my recordings for my gaming channel and the sound is very nice and works great. I would highly recommend this audio interface if you are starting, this will get you off your feet and started.
