One of the main reasons to choose this model over a 250/100 beyond the 450V max voltage limit is the isolation between the solar input and the battery output. It also incorporates two mppt trackers so you can have two strings with different orientations etc. Be aware the effective (soft) voltage limit is 8 times the battery float voltage so around 430V. Physical on/off switch also nice feature.Fan noise is low and not objectionable, first starting up around 1500W and then ramping up further at around 2500W.

I am very much sold on Victron quality. Once you experience quality you will not go back to cheap.Some vendors offer an extended warranty, 10 years instead of five years. Shop around on different sites before you commit.
