Season this screen with cooking oil per instructions. I've made 3 large pizzas so far. love it. Will buy another if needed. Hope it lasts awhile though.

It's just what I wanted; however....I should have measured the inside of my oven first!! The 18" just barely fits. The oven door won't close completely and has a 1/2 inch gap....I really needed a 16" or 17". My mistake. We've used it several times for Costco 16" take-and-bake pizzas and the screen works perfectly!!

I got this to make my own pizzas and make take and bake pizzas better. It's solid aluminum. It is ridged enough to support a fully loaded pizza easily, but not enough to carry the tray by the edge in one hand. The mesh is good at supporting doughier pizzas. This is good for doing a dry bake, as opposed to an oiled pan, if you are watching your oil in-take at all.The bottom gets evenly cooked via convection/hot air passing through ventilated pores.Hope that helps!

I have had these pizza screens for around 3 years now and LOVE them! I preheat my pizza stone while preparing the crust and toppings. Once the crust is stretched (okay, I must admit I cheat there and use a rolling pin. Ooooh, I'll bet there were at least a couple of winces when folks read that confession...but I digress). Once the crust is 'stretched' and more or less round, I transfer it onto the screen. Note that I use a bit of fine corn meal while rolling the dough to keep it from sticking to the counter. This also helps keep the dough from sticking to the screen during baking. I leave the pizza right on the screen, which sits on the stone during baking. We like a thin/crispy crust, so I bake at 500-degrees Fahrenheit for 9 minutes. Then I pull the whole show out of the oven and use a very large spatula to help slide the pizza directly onto the stone. Let it rest for 5 minutes (if you can wait that long!) before slicing. This will really help make the crust more crisp. Just be sure to remove the screen before slicing the pizza in order to keep it in good condition. Buon appetito!

We make pizza frequently because it's so easy to make the dough in our Cuisinart. This screen gives us a perfect thin crust everytime. I haven't tried to make a thick crust on it yet. And it's nice because you don't have to try to slide the raw pizza onto a stone of off it when it's done. We need the stone to stay hot for the next pie. With this screen, just put the rolled out dough onto it, apply sauce and toppings, and put the whole thing in the oven. We recommend this item!

This works well for pizza. Much better than a pan or those paper trays that come on pizzas. If you make your own pizza this works great for cooking that too. My oven was not quite 18 inches deep but I just bent the edges up and it works great. Seems pretty solid and I think it should hold up over time.
