The bowl came on time and well packaged. The bowl is beautifully made with the multiple wood tones.It holds a normal sized cake of yarn, which is one normal skein caked.The edges are smooth and doesn't grab the yarn.Good choice for a yarn bowl as it is so pretty as well as fit for purpose.I would buy another one and would recommend this yarn bowl.

Beautifully made yarn bowl. Perfect for average size cakes, or small balls.Coloring is very pretty. Did not find any part of surface that would snag yarn either.Makes a beautiful gift for any fiber artist!

a little smaller than expected so the wife can't use it when she grabs a fresh ball of yarn (when she balls her yarn she makes them about 6 inches in diameter). she absolutely loves the bowl though so she said from now on she may ball the yarn a bit smaller so she can use it right off instead of having to use a bit first before it fits.the color and design of the bowl is absolutely beautiful. and came with a small skein of acrylic yarn and a crochet hook.not a super heavy weight bowl like some others but does make it easier to move about. i added a little rubber pad to the bottom so that it doesn't slide around on the side table when pulling yarn from it.

This bowl is nicely made with real wood. It is smaller than I expected which will work for small balls of yarn. I would use it for Amigurumi but not for blanket making. It comes with a small skein of yarn and a small crochet hook. The edges of the holes and slot may be a bit rough which could catch your yarn. I suppose you could sand the edges down to smooth them out.I would say this bowl is a good for a beginner or young person who is starting out with small projects using thin yarn.

This is a pretty, nicely crafted knitting bowl, but it has a design flaw that makes it malfunction a bit. The fiddlehead opening where the yarn pulls through is not curled enough to hold the yarn in the opening—the yarn pops out as you knit. I was trying to figure out why because I see two things—1) the bowl is low, meaning I have yarn balls taller than the height of the bowl and that makes the yarn kind of pull out of the opening; and 2) the fiddlehead opening is too shallow and without enough curl to keep the yarn flowing without falling out, if that makes sense. So while I might be able to use this on small cakes of yarn, it won’t work for all projects and it won’t hold any yarn securely through the opening. But, like I said, it is pretty.

What a fantastic set! This would make a great gift for anyone that likes to knit/crochet. The yarn is okay quality and would make some cute mini stuffed animals or something of the sort. The crochet hook is also just okay. It is a little thin but the metal seems to be of decent quality. I will probably gift it as I do not crochet. The knit stitch hooks are your typical plastic variety that can be found in bulk at the craft store. Again just okay but great when you need some in a pinch. Now let’s talk about the bowl. I am blown away with how gorgeous the wood is! What a beautiful piece. It is a little smaller than I was hoping for but will still work excellent for my smaller knitting projects. It is very smooth and oh so shiny. Definitely seems like it will hold up over the years so long as it isn’t dropped. I would absolutely get this set again to gift.

Beautiful wood, Perfectly and smoothly carved as to not pick the yarn you are working with! Easy for the yarn to pull through allowing you to work with it without it rolling around or falling to the floor! Must have while working on projects, easy to take a break with as well as you have something to place your tools in while you do. Yarn pulls through each hole or "bowl hook" very easily and smoothly while your yarn is confined and stays in one place! The bowl is made of a great hard wood and is thick to withstand any drops or accidents! It is a very beautiful piece as well!

This was purchased primarily for the bowl, which is lovely. It has a few tiny flaws in the base and the lacquer, but the wood grains are gorgeous. The holes through which thread passes are smooth, and there are no rough spots to catch my thread. The hook is a 3mm and very light. The stitch markers are adequate, not high quality, but not brittle plastic either. The skein of yarn I received was pink. Overall, I'm pleased with this bowl and set.
