I don't know why I decided to try this, but I was looking for some non-overwhelming desk lighting and came across this monitor-mounted light and figured I'd give it a try. My desktop space is at a premium, so at least I knew I wasn't giving up any precious surface space. This light bar is super simple to set up. You basically take it out of the box, put it on top of your monitor and bend the counterweight support into place behind the monitor. The bar spans across about 2/3 of my 27" monitor. The controls are on the front of the mount. I was a little worried that the mount would spill over into the screen space, given my monitor has thin bezels, but it fit just above the screen just fine and feels very secure. You have four controls -- power, color temperature (I think three settings) and brightness up and down. On the latter, they probably could have just used one button, since you can't really smoothly dim. There are just three settings -- 100%, 50% and 10%. So one button would have worked fine to cycle through the three. But no biggie to have the up and down buttons. The lighting points straight down and neither shines into my eyes directly, nor creates glare on the screen. It just gives some nice desk lighting of that's right below and in front of the screen. I like it when I'm working in the evening and don't want a lot of harsh lighting. It's not super bright at its brightest -- but is perfectly fine.By the way, it's powered over a USB-A to USB-C cable, which is included. I'd generally prefer USB-C to USB-C, but in this case I had a spare USB-A outlet on a power grommet on my desk, so it was a perfect solution. I imagine you could supply your own USB-C / C cable if you need to power it that way.So overall, this is a really nice quality of life improver in a simple and elegant way. I barely notice it's there it's so unobtrusive. Good stuff! 5 stars easily.

Yeelight Monitor Light BarI am really glad that I came across this monitor light bar, it is so much better than the Led light that I had been using which was to my right hand side and a couple of feet (60cm) from my keyboard. This sits on top of your monitor and due to its sleek design, you hardly know it is there. It has a reasonable weight to it which holds in place very well. The touch buttons are easy to see and work very well. A short touch changes the settings like dimming in chunky steps. However, if you keep your finger in the button, it gives stepless dimming and stepless colour temperature changes, so you can adjust it to your exact requirements. On full brightness the light draws close to 1 Amp of power so in my opinion it is best plugged into a dedicated USB power supply such as a plug top USB adaptor. That said, it will work ok from a USB 3.0 computer socket, but I would check the actual output capability of these sockets on your computer first, so as not to overload them. Better safe than sorry.I was a little concerned that I would get a lot of light reflections on the screen with the light being so close to the screen, but amazingly there is nothing noticeable at all.I currently have a 21″ monitor, but I am confident it will work just as well on the 27″ monitor I hope to get soon. It probably will be ok even on a 32″ monitor. This really is a great well designed light that does help with eyestrain.I wish I had found it sooner.

Picked this up so hubby could continue his habit of working in the dark, but have some visibility into his desk. The light is the standard lightbar designs and "clips" on to the top of the monitor.A few things we love about this light bar:1. They put the touch controls at the front right under the light instead of attached to a cord dangling somewhere in the darkness behind your monitors. This is a much better configuration for regular use which has resulted in me actually using it instead of only using it in extreme scenarios because I didn't feel like fishing behind everything for the buttons.2. It's super bright and covers about two feet of desk in front of your monitor, but unless you put your face down on your desk, you don't get the light shining in your eyes. The lights are behind a round shield and shines down and towards your monitors (you'll probably want to dust right after using this for the first time).3. You can control the normal functions (brightness, color temperature, and power) with the front facing (!!!) touch controls. For comfort, we keep it set to the warmer temps and medium brightness and it's a gentle, comfortable way to keep things illuminated without causing undue eye strain at night.4. It's powered by USB-A, so you very likely have adapters available or on your desk already, so it won't take up valuable power strip real estate and it speaks to the fact that it only sips power and wont cost you more than a few cents to operate.Snags, but not dealbreakers, depending on your situation:1. There is a bit of overhang where the light clips on, so if you have a bezel free monitor, you might have a tiny bit of obstruction.2. While the bar itself would clip on nicely to a laptop monitor, it does have some heft (see the pics attached to this review for the mounting hardware that hands off the back of the light), so if the hinge isn't tight or you don't balance it well, it might pull the monitor back.Overall, this is the best light of this style that we have in the house and a permanent fixture on my desk. Definitely recommend this to someone who needs an easy to install solution to illuminate their desktop without taking up any space on said desktop!

This monitor light is quite lovely. It's lightweight and comfortably sets on top of my 4 K monitor. It provides nice light to my keyboard/desk space, so I'm happy with its variable lighting settings. (Note: If you have this plugged into a USB hub like I do, be careful not to keep it too bright, as it will knock out the hub, haha.) It's easy to set up and use as well. My only one complaint is the lack of a remote (if there was one my unit did not come with one). A little magnetic remote to add to the vibe of the desk would be great but for the price you can't beat this if you're just wanting some simple desk light.

This is one of those devices you never thought you needed. The light mounts at the top of the screen and shines down toward the keyboard. The selectable colour temperature and intensity functions allow great flexibility in the lighting options available.I was initially a little apprehensive that the light shining down on the screen, would effectively wash out the display. This wasn't the case however and the display remained clear and bright. The main point to note is that the keyboard is uniformly illuminated and becomes so much easier to use in a dark environment. The build is solid and reassuringly weighty (360g), and the design even has a cut-out at the top to prevent the camera lens being obstructed, and the touch sensitive buttons enhance the whole operating procedure. The price may seem on the high side, but in my opinion well worth it for such a solid and ultimately very durable device.

This monitor light bar was exactly what I needed for my home office setup. It’s super easy to install, and the touch controls are really convenient. I like that I can adjust both the brightness and color temperature depending on the time of day. The light is soft and doesn’t cause any glare on my screen, which makes working for long hours much more comfortable. It’s simple but very effective. If you’re looking to upgrade your workspace without spending a lot, this is definitely a great option!

This light arrived as described and looks just like the photos advertised.I got this for my dressing room, the quality is fantastic, it functions as it should and it fit the space I needed it to.It came pre-built so I didn't have to assemble it at all which was convenient. The light creates a nice ambience and looks great in my dressing room. I put it above a painting I have and I'm happy with how it looks. Good value for money. I would recommend.

This monitor light is a real treat! It's surprisingly lightweight and perches perfectly on my 4K screen without any fuss. I'm really enjoying the adjustable brightness – it gives just the right amount of light to my keyboard and desk area. A little heads-up though: if you're using a USB hub like me, keep the brightness in check, otherwise it might just overload the hub (lesson learned the hard way, haha!). Setup was a breeze, and it's super simple to use. My only wish is for a remote; a little magnetic one would be such a cool addition to the desk setup. But honestly, for the price, you really can't go wrong if you're after some straightforward and effective desk lighting.

I ordered this for my wife who is often involved in evening meetings and wanted some lighting to help see the screen when the lamps are a little too dim and doesn't want to put the main light on. She wanted to try out this monitor light bar and has been very satisfied by the results. It sits on top of the monitor and casts a nice, even glow down onto the keyboard and desk without creating glare. The dimming and adjustable colour temperature is a really nice feature making it really comfortable on the eyes. it fits monitors measuring from 0.3" to 1.4" thick using an adaptable clip and is compatible with both flat and curved screens. It is powered by USB with a 1.5m cable which eliminates lamp bases and problems with tangled wires
