The paper is good quality and has a good weight and surface, and the colors are good. It was supposed to be 5x7 inches, but in reality it's 6.85 inches, and not cut true. Also it was not bound properly. It fell right out of the little sketchbook. It's a good product, and it deserves to have a presentation worthy of it.

I was hopeful that this would be a mini toned version of the Stonehenge Legion white paper that is a holy grail paper for many colored pencil artists. Unfortunately this toned paper is much softer and does not accept as many layers. I will try it for other applications but it didn’t work the way I wanted it to for colored pencils.

Fortunately, after a day's thought, I took a chance that Yupo doesn't come in colors and that the pad "colors" must be the 100% cotton that I wanted. Yay! It is the familiar sketching paper that I like. Yes, this Stonehenge is made by Legion. That doesn't make it Yupo!!!!!

First let me say Im not a professional artist but Im serious enough about my personal art to opt for artist grade supplies.I've been using the Strathmore 500 series Bristol mixed media because I like to have the option of adding watercolor pencil or pastel to my projects. But getting an even, smooth finish can be frustrating without the aid of blending solvents and alot of extra steps.(Ive only been working with artist grade pencils for about the last year so I'm still riding that learning curve)After some research I decided to give Stonehenge a try.It can be on the pricey side so I bought the 5x7 pad to play around with.It was love at first pencil stroke!! It's smooth but toothy enough for layering and blending. And the paper colors are wonderful. I didn't try my watercolors pencils but I did add a few pastel highlights and they laid just as lovely as the pencils.I immediately went to the Blick art website and ordered the same pad in a bigger size!

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THESE MULTI COLORED PAPER SHEETS IS THAT THEY HAVE VERY NATURAL TONES THAT WORK WELL WITH PENCIL OR COLORED PENCIL. DELICATE , THEY WORK ESPECIALLY WELL UNDER DRAFTING FILM WHEN YOU WISH TO HAVE A TONED BACKGROUND, FOR EXAMPLE, DOING A PORTRAIT. GOOD QUALITY PAPER .

Love the different colors and the size is easy to carry anywhere, the paper seems to be better than most watercolor papers.
