These worked great to replace some missing shelf pegs of the same measurements. These things come in all different sizes and thicknesses as I found out, but once I measured what I needed and found these I was good to go. Now I have a lifetime supply.

These shelf pins meet my expectations. They fit fine into a standard 5mm shelf pin hole. As promised in the product description, they are 19mm in overall length, with about 8.5mm of that extending into the shelf pin hole and the remained staying outside to support the shelf.Unlike similar shelf pins, these do not have a "tooth" on the flat portion where the shelf rests to help grip the shelf and keep it from sliding, but in most cases that's unnecessary. Being made of all steel, these shelf pins should hold up to some fairly heavy loads; I suspect that the wood sides of a shelf will deform under heavy loads before these shelf pins would bend.
