I do a lot of power-tool wood carving, and these will work nicely, particularly for some of my smaller items that I want to carve. The tips are sharp and easily cut through the basswood blanks I typically use. Do note that they are not carbide tipped, so I don't expect them to last forever. But these are presently at a very good price, good enough that you could buy three or four sets of these instead of just one set of carbide-tipped, making these still the winner from a value point of view. Quite pleased.

Great for those narrow, sharp cuts and gouges. Stellar price for what they are; less than a dollar per bit! Comes with a cheap plastic case to keep them safe and organized. They are sharp and ready to go. Should be pretty easy to resharpen- just run them backwards against some fine grit sandpaper.

This 5pcs HSS 1/8" Shank edge engraving rotary bits come in a small clear rectangular plastic case that really should be taped shut. The first one I got had no bits inside or out. The second one I got had 3 inside and 2 outside, but at least all five bits were there. The HSS bits came in sizes from 3mm to 8mm and are sharp. Since they are only HSS, I only use them on wood to extend their life. This tricuspid design is good for fine detailing and sculpting smaller areas, but not really good for roughing out, shaping, or texturing. I use them mostly for deeper grooves and on curved designs. I am fairly happy with the performance and value of these bits.

These cut nicely on hard or soft wood.Probably hard wood it leaves a cleaner cut since the softer wood wants to fur just a but but not a problem since I sand after anyways so just an observation.Nice set of bits being an assortment so they will last longer since each is used less and not just 1 for everything.Good quality and shank is strong so I can add nice pressure without flexing.I can recommend this.

comes with a convenient plastic box to hold the bits, but apparently it doesn't stay closed well, because there were only two inside...

While the bits seem high quality, the packaging was not sealed and one bit was missing. I checked the outer box it was shipped in but no luck. I look forward to using the 4 bits I received.
