These tailgate assist shocks work exactly as advertised—my tailgate now functions like brand new! The installation process, however, was a bit frustrating due to the complete lack of documentation. There were no instructions included in the package, which meant I had to rely on YouTube videos to figure out how to install a similar product. Thankfully, once I figured it out, the installation was straightforward, and the end result is fantastic. The tailgate lift power is excellent and better than new. If they included even a simple instruction sheet, this would easily be a 5-star product!

Yay! No more banging my head into the corner of the tailgate when it’s up! Fits our 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro 4X perfectly. Easy install, remove clips from old struts and snap in new ones!

So my Nissan xterra original oem struts started to sag about 8 years ago and I replaced them with new oem struts. The replacements were sagging really bad and only holding the door open about 1/2 way if I was lucky.I installed these in about 5 minutes and they are strong! The rear hatch is held completely open against the stops and has a lot of spring still left in it. I’m really hoping these last longer than the OEM and the price was so much more cost effective

These were super easy to install and provide way more than double the strength of my old, worn out struts. The tailgate lifts almost automatically with barely any assistance needed. Closing the tailgate actually takes some effort now. FYI - The struts are left and right side specific.

I vaguely recall a comment on some other site/forum about these for the hatch door. That these were rather heavy duty and had plenty of spring to them.They were correct. Absolutely no more slagging in the lift or toward end of travel. I'd say make sure you can move your head quickly as there is a point in the swing that'd easily give you a fat lip or worse if you don't get ready for it. It really lifts very well. The closing is just a tad heavier but very manageable and only for the initial pull. These are .... I don't know why I dragged my feet on this little, but excellent upgrade. They're great. Simple to install. Barrels on these look like a couple mm larger than stock. In any case, nuff said

My 2014 Xterra pro 4x needed new liftgate struts, so off I strut to amazon to purchase a set. I find these, I buy, they click in easy, they work I'm happy, etc etc many such cases. Seriously though, after the last aftermarket struts I got for my Odyssey that didn't clip into the liftgate confidently and one popped out almost bonking me, these clip in in seconds and actually hold in very well. 5 stars!
