The board isn't capable of doing constant amps out of the box. It's pre built to do a 1 amp supply. It's control gets very hot within 20 minutes, and if left for an hour without constant air flow can easily build up enough heat to desolder itself. There is a way to change one of the resistors on the board so it'll be limited to .5 - .8 amps. If you're not able to do that, it's not worth it.

Flakey voltage output, but made it work, not the time/effort to return

I build my own solar/lithium battery setups for my cellular cameras. These work well to keep the lithium packs I build full without over charging. So far I have used about a dozen and only one was bad out of that many. Have been running these for about 6 months on the oldest setups.

So far so good, use one 50W solar panel to charge DIY 3S5P 18650 battery pack. Tested with bench DC power supply, works from 14V to 25V at least. Looks like the board is working at 300KHz switch mode, ripple

This worked for about a week and had been putting out around 13v on 24v input. After the battery it was charging died I discovered it was no longer functional and currently only puts out between 0.1-0.6v on the same 24v input.

I bought it for a STEM project. I used bench top power supply to test the board, measured the battery output. It did not work at all. Do NOT buy.
