The aluminum is thick and the shield is rigid and strong. Looks like it was meant to be part of the vehicle. Great purchase for the price!

I trimmed mine down to fit with KDSS. It was super easy to make the cut since its aluminum and came out looking factory. I did powder coat it black after making the modifications.

The rear holes (slots actually) are too small for the bolts they provided! Duh. Yet the bolts do fit the 2014 FJ Cruiser's holes. The front bolt holes in the plate are not positioned correctly too ! Had to drill to extend the existing slot hole. Directions are lacking, not even bolt sizes given, not correct bolts, wrong info. Better off throwing the directions away.I wanted to return this, but that is a hassle with such a big heavy item, and the Toyota TRD is over twice as expensive, so I drilled. I dread changing my oil filter and having to remove and put this plate back on.Make sure you have two people to install, as it's very difficult to hold the plate up while messing with the misplaced and mis-sized holes and finding the correct bolts and spacers.You've been warned :)Otherwise, the plate is beefy, much heavier duty than the original. 2014 FJ Cruiser.

Looked like it had already been installed, big dead bug on side and no mounting hardware. Was just thrown in two fedex boxes taped together with no packaging or bubble wrap. Which explains the no hardware because box was coming apart by a nice looking product only reason I gave a 3

First delivery showed up missing hardware, so had to return and have a new one sent. They couldn’t send just the hardware. It’s Decently made, but the holes did not line up and had to elongate them, and the bolts were too long.

As noted in other reviews the hole spacing is too short front to back by about 3/8". Took some time with a round file to get it to fit.Rear bolts would be too long for most, but apparently the previous owner of my FJ installed diff drop spacers, so i has to make some skid spacers to match and they worked out.Use the plastic washers at the shank to keep the bolts from dropping out.Skid is painted grey, may be primer?Looks good, i didn't want the TRD letters.

Fit great and a good value. The directions are incorrect. You must reuse the rear OEM bolts because the new ones provided are way to long. The Plastic spacer retainers for the front bolts are too big around to fit through the holes on the trucks mounting position. Had to take them off. The new bolts fit there exactly right. I may just epoxy the spacers in place sometime later. So now I have two spares of each. I painted my skid plate satin black; it took paint exceptionally well.
