BIG full bag- nice texture for potting. On time. Smells fresh.EDIT- Made my former 5 star a 1 star. Because they discotinued the 25 Quart and only offer the 16 Quart for the SAME price. Riding on the happiness of purchasers then cutting the amount down drastically while keeping the same price. Did they think we wouldn't notice?

Hey, don't get me wrong here, Miracle-Gro potting soil is by far some of the best stuff you can get for your plants to grow like mad, but what the heck happened to the prices? I feel like I got cheated because I just naturally took for granted these bags were even bigger than the ones I bought last year for the same price, but no, I wasn't paying attention. The ones I bought last year were 2 cubic feet each, these are 25 quarts (which is much smaller. The 2 cu. ft. ones went up to $63.00, which is double what I paid last year. We aren't growing eggs here... lol... let's get real, Mr. Government... this is dirt, and should be dirt cheap!

I like the composition of this potting soil, with it consisting of peat, compost and shredded wood products. The only thing missing is perlite to help keep it aerated and minimize the threat of root rot. The consistency is pretty good, although there is the occasional large-ish piece of wood. But, on the plus side, there were no rocks or pieces of plastic in the four bags I used, unlike the "surprises" that I have found in off-brand mixes. It has been working great in grow bags once I added some perlite. A good value on a cost per cubic foot if you catch it on a price dip/special. While the lack of perlite is a con, it gets everything right. 4.5 stars
