This quick release arm attached directly to my handle and provided a smooth yet secure swivel for for adjusting it the way I needed in different video/photo shoots. I like the quick release much better that using the thread holes and it allows me to quickly switch the handle for landscape or portrait orientations. I also like the locking mechanism which lets me know it will not fall off because it doesn't rely solely on spring tension.

This Neewer Quick Release Side Handle Mounting Adapter is a great addition to my mobile videography setup. I can confirm it works and works GREAT with my iPhone 16 Pro Max and Neewer PA074 Cam Rig and CA067H Handle. It provides much-needed stabilization and flexibility for shooting video with my phone.The materials and build quality are good, yet it remains nice, compact, and light. I had a number of handles for my phone cage, but they were all of the traditional screw-in types and none really took advantage of the 'quick release' notches in each side of it. I do like the modular design of the handles though, which allows anyone to unscrew the adapter off the handle and replace with... this separately-purchasable Quick Release Side Handle Mounting Adapter.... well, not-so-quick release, since the lever exist for safety. Which is understandable as I wouldn't want my phone flying right off. And while it does work in general, the clamp/lever didn't close fully onto the notches, leaving me somewhat nervous. I don't think I'll be swinging the phone cage like a baseball bat with this handle adapter, but it can handle some rough handling. Certainly makes possible using more comfortable handles for a more stable video footage.Somewhat wish this was included in the original handle kits though, seems like a no-brainer. The hassle of having it as a separate purchase is unfortunate, but I suppose it's fine from the viewpoint of a replacement part.

I’m going to start this review by saying that I will assume if you are looking at this item, you already have a Neewer phone cage that uses the quick release style slot.This is an excellent idea and I’m thrilled that Neewer decided to extend the life of the older style side handles. Not only does it prevent the side handles from ending up in a landfill too soon, it can save money by not having to buy different handles to use on the phone cage.It is super easy to attach. Once attached, you don’t have to take it off. You can now attach the older style handle to both older and newer versions of the phone cage (that has the slot for the quick release grip) much more quickly than having to screw them in.Super great idea, easy to attach and super sturdy. Easy five stars.

Another handy-dandy little accessory from the always innovative Neewer company provided to make the mobile phone videographers life and workflow that much more convenient and speedier.The QR Side Handle Mounting Adapter allows the user to quickly remove, replace or relocate a compatible side handle when used on a compatible phone cage. It appears to be a solidly built little adapter. Its clamp is opened/closed by the press/release of a button, which is then locked/unlocked with the turn of a lever to prevent accidental release. It’s attached to a compatible handle in the usual manner, clamped to the central channel of the side handle; the mounting hardware is included, along with the necessary allen key.The adapter is nicely designed and simple to operate. Moreover, Neewer is a solid company, is here to stay and will stand by their products. The adapter makes for an inexpensive upgrade to potentially enhance a workflow.
