2 FIRMNESS OPTIONS
Both Beastie and Beastie Bar are available in 2 firmness options. Original (clear) is firm but still flexible. Xfirm (green) is extremely firm, similar to a lacrosse ball.
The best choice depends on both your sensitivity to pain and your method of use. For example, if you're using the Beastie on the floor and putting your full weight on it, we recommend the Original version. If you're using the Beastie against a wall, you'll be applying much lower forces to it, and will probably respond better to the Xfirm.

This thing is totally amazing! It’s replaced my lacrosse balls for muscle tension relief. It was recommended to me by a friend who is an avid runner, and I swear by this thing. The only problem is that mine is almost clear, and sometimes I misplace it and panic because I love it so much and rely on it. It’s great and I may order the green one just to be safe!

Works great for digging into my lower back muscles for a deep massage which helps avoid next day soreness. Also easy to work into small areas such as the joints and tendons around the knee.

I needed this to work on a hamstring injury I had. It was perfect. Easy to use. i take it everywhere. It also feels good on my foot after playing sports and dealing with cramping.

I tried one of these a few months ago and had to get my own - they're terrific ! Perfect size and not too hard or soft either - works great for fascia release, post gym work outs, etc... BUT buy this directly from the source - my amazon order sent me a box with a little green ball in it - nothing at all as pictured. I contacted the seller and they were fantastic about getting the right one to me and quickly too! I use this ALL of the time now and even suggest it to my clients now too - LOVE it! Thank you!!!

I have tried many spiked massage balls and these are the best - I use two for the back and they really work, the right combination of softness and sturdiness.

If you want to reach deep tissue, or really stretch your muscles, this is the product you need. Foam rollers are ok but this one is very powerful.

J'utilise le beastie depuis des années mais l'ayant égaré, j'ai du m'en racheter un... Indispensable dans la panoplie auto massages, en particulier lors de déplacements, ou lors de pauses lors du travail. Particulièrement efficace après être resté assis longtemps, pour les ischios notamment. Détend aussi très bien la voute plantaire.

This ball gets places nothing else has. It's high quality product. I have lots of tightness around shoulder blades and the beastie gets right in there. The clear one is plenty firm but has just the right amount of give to it. I like to lay on the floor on top of it. The base is sometimes useful to get in deeper. Also most awesome to step on the ball for an excellent foot massage. You can't go wrong with this. Plus it's small so you can take it with you. It's also good to massage other with, especially the tops of shoulders while someone is sitting up in a chair.

Had a blue rumbleroller and was looking into getting some lacrosse balls when I stumbled upon the beastie ball.The clear one is like the blue roller in terms of firmness - firm but not over the top. It gets into the places the rumbleroller doesn't. It's also really portable so I take it almost everywhere I go. Despite it's price, it's a definite 5 stars for the ball.I haven't found much use for the base. I'm not commited enough to mount it on the wall, and if I need to elevate it off the ground, I'd just use the roller. Maybe you'll find a use for it, but I'd probably go for the two beasties without bases for just $10 more.Like many reviews for the rumbleroller advising to get the softer one for your first purchase, I'll echo that by recommending the softer clear beastie. I did get an additional two pack with 1 of each, and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to use the yellow one.Word of warning: don't leave it in the car on a hot day. It kind of melts and gets a bit softer over all. Still works wonderfully, but it's pretty obvious when comparing to a new one.

I defiantly recommend the clear Beastie for beginners. I use mine almost every day and have acclimated to its density. It doesn't take long to figure out. The nodules do break up knots and can be positioned to get under those hard to get spots like your scapula. The base is well made and sturdy. I would recommend setting it up on a wall. When I use it on the floor, I found the base is not tall enough for me to break up knots on my hamstrings, but does work. I will be investing in the next level of Beastie with another base for the wall. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

During my 10 day xc skiing trip, I really fell in love with this little massage tool. I used it daily to massage my back muscles, should blades, shoulders and gluts. The relief I got from the massage was incredible.The ball really gets to the trigger points, way more targeted than a rumbleroller. I feel like a massage therapist pushing deep into my trigger points -- a bit painful, sore but rejuvenating.The self massage can be done on floor, in bed or on a couch (if the mattress and couch are relatively firm). The stand is useful for shoulder and neck massage on the floor. It keeps the ball elevated, thus makes it easier to massage the shoulder/neck and the feeling is more intense.I got the original (clear) one. It has the perfect firmness and give. After my good experience, I gave a beastie ball as a gift to a friend who suffers shoulder pain and tightness. She loves it too!
