A well made coffee maker but it was not what I was looking for. It would be great for those who camp. Seems to be a good quality coffee maker.

Simple to use, no need for filters, easy to clean, and super cool lookin! Works just fine on my induction stove, but can't wait to take it out camping next week! Give this shiny thing a little character. Purchased 9/2018 and it came with the plastic knob (even though it says it comes with the glass), so if you want the glass one, you should probably just order them together. Super happy with this. Makes one delicious smooth cup!

We have used this a few times on a camp stove and works great. Takes some getting used to to fill properly, but this is not the first percolator of this type. We are happy with the performance and still looks good. In spring we will test over a campfire.

My brother got this cool percolator for me at a garage sale. The dome is glass and looks like the replacement ones from the hardware store. I find that the lid does not close right, which leads to spills. But if you leave the perforated filter lid off, then the dome lid closes well and then it works perfectly! Put it on high heat until it begins to perk, then turn the heat way down and let it perk gently for three minutes & voila! I fill it up to seven cups of water with six scoops of coffee, which yields about one liter of brew.Addendum: My Dad took a screwdriver to the hinge and levered forward just a smidge, now the lid closes perfectly! It's still working hard!

Quality materials were used to make this. I also prefer the wooden handle over other PVC/rubber-style handles.... it just makes more sense over a hot fire. My only complaint is that the top does not close all the way... it kind of springs open, allowing some of the heat to escape. Other than that, this is a very good percolator and I would buy again.

I bought this pot because I was tired of spending money on electric drip coffee makers. It took a little time and experimentation to get coffee the way I wanted it. The grounds in the bottom were a problem even with the filter. I wanted to use my current coffee grounds up before purchasing a larger grind. I purchased the 10 cup pot. I discovered that if I only filled to the 7 cup line with water and was careful not to let it perk hard, the problem was solved. I will try the courser grind when I run out of what I have. Makes a good cup of coffee.

Great coffee maker! I have the 3 cup Chinook which I love so much that I bought the larger version to use when I have company. Very sturdy and cleans up beautifully. My 3 cup Chinook is over a year old and still looks brand new. The Chinook Timberline makes great coffee. Unlike an electric percolator you can extend the percolation to make a stronger cup of coffee by using the same amount of ground coffee. Also great to take on my sailboat. No need for electricity to have that morning coffee on board when at anchor!
