I bought this for my grandson’s gaming PC so he could use Meta Quest Link via Air Link. Having both the PC and his VR headset on the same Wi-Fi connection was causing too much lag and visual artifacts while using Meta Quest Link.It turns out that Air Link works best if the PC is on a wired Ethernet connection, but his PC is upstairs and the router is downstairs. After wiring his PC with these adapters, the gameplay is so much smoother. Now he can play Gorilla Tag on his PC and it’s seamlessly wirelessly streamed to his VR headset. The setup and pairing were very easy, but only one Cat 5e Ethernet cable was included. Luckily, I had a spare. As an added bonus though, his PC’s internet connection latency went down by an order of magnitude, according to Speedtest.net.

Went thru ALL of the instruction on adding a 3rd and 4th module to the Powerline Network and performing those instructions to the letter and exact timing, I still met with failure. I remembered an icon on the "tpPLC"app "Add Device". I simply opened the app, clicked on the icon, entered the device key, and DONE!!!! Device entered after a few seconds. This is a MAJOR screw-up for tp-Link. Devices are working fine and I'm a happy camper. NOTE TO FOLKS AT TP-LINK. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER WHEN WRITING INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!

Functionality of affected by house wiring. Could only get about 20mbps on the link. Very easy to set up and connect, no configuration needed. Speed might be faster if they are both on same circuit. Value is medium. WiFi is cheaper for similar or faster results

First, the fact this was "renewed" was not obvious enough for my liking, I wouldn't have bought it if it I knew.Second, nowhere in the listing does it sorry that this is dual gigabit ports rather than a single 2 gigabit port. Given the modern prevalence of 2.5Gbps ports I had hoped for better. The product is done, this listing is incomplete at best, outright deceptive at worst.

This kit does exactly what you need it to do, I have been using this as my room is a few rooms over from the router and I hated how much variability there was in my connection. This powerline adapter has allowed me to keep the same download and upload speed I had over wifi, but with the added benefit of less latency and a more stable connection. There are a few things to look out for, first is to make sure that a powerline adapter will work for your situation, I recommend going to a store like best buy and picking up a powerline adapter and testing it for the plugs you plan on using. Once you have confirmed that it works for your situation you should be ready to only have one outlet open, this adapter basically cover the top outlet and so your basically down to one connections on the outlet you plan on using. Besides the out thing, this has been awesome and well worth the money.

I have a 1GBps Fibre optic line and a mesh wifi system at home which gives me 500 to 700 mbps download speeds. However, I also have a work desktop machine in my room which has no wifi capability. Even more complicated here was that there is no ethernet port access in the vicinity of my Desktop. I investigated Ethernet over power adapters and initially got the AV1000 TP Link model. Speeds were decent and reliable (Around 180 to 200 Mbps). In reality, anyone else would have been contented and stopped right there. But I wanted to investigate if there were even faster solutions. I ordered the AV2000 to do an apples to apples comparison. Low and behold, there was a 50% improvement in speeds. I now was easily getting 280 to 300Mbps speeds. In addition, average latency times had reduced to 3ms from 4ms. I would actually argue that latency is more critical than speedbandwidth after a certain point. Very happy with my purchase! I have experienced zero issues with Video conferencing and 4K streaming in my experiments so far.

These units are a huge improvement over the original HomePlug AV products -- these are based on the HomePlug AV2 standard. I tested these out in my apartment. The 2 outlets are on different breakers home-runned to the apartment building basement. The entire distance from outlet to outlet by wire is about 250 feet. I get 355Mbps into the first plug and about 166Mbps at the second one. With my old AV1 adapters, I was only getting about 40Mbps at the second adapter. At 250 feet using WiFi N, no way could I get that kind of speed. Also, it's my understanding that latency is significantly less using a Powerline connection compared to a WiFi connection. These TP-Link adapters are also simple to set up unlike my old Zyxel adapters. I highly recommend these adapters. To extend WiFi coverage, TP-Link has a kit with a WiFi access point and multi-port switch at the remote plug. This should work a lot better and give you more speed as compared to using a repeater or mesh WiFi.

I was going crazy trying to find a solution to my internet problems on the 2nd floor of my house and even went as far as buying a whole moca setup which was a lot of work but didn’t work. I was at my wit’s end but then saw this and was like everything else has failed so why not try another setup that will fail.To my shock...this freaking works! I have one unit plugged in downstairs and the other upstairs to my work computer. I was only getting 90mbps download before vía wifi but wifi is terrible if you have a phone job like me. Constant disconnects from customers or no audio was able to be heard from the person calling which was getting to be very frustrating. After setting everything up initially it didn’t work so I was like I knew it but I started to read the troubleshooting steps from the manual and it said if there is not internet connection try pairing the two units for a secure connection. After I did that it worked!First I tried on an outlet next to the door of my work room and and was getting 157mbps download. Then I was like let me rearrange the outlet next to my computer so I can plug this in next to it. Low and behold 206mbps download! I’m paying for 300mbps with Comcast so these speeds are wonderful and just as good as using Ethernet cables directly from the modem. I was completely in shock and amazed! After reading so many mixed reviews and one failed internet setup after another I was sure this wouldn’t work. This has been a gift from heaven as I have no more dropped/silent calls from work and there is no more latency using my job’s Remote Desktop from home. I’m so happy!!!!!The only con I can think of is that the plug is super bulky so it ends up covering the other outlet for a grounded plug. Other than that 5 stars all around!
