Sturdy and versatile, definitely exceeded my expectations in some aspects. Heavier than I anticipated, but also very stable. Good for both reading and drawing on my tablet. I like that both the height and the angle are adjustable.Clips are secure, better at holding books in place than my previous bookstand. I find that the clips can't hold more than 250 pages each, which limits the size of books you can use on the stand. While 250 pages is sufficient for most books, I was hoping to use it with some larger volumes. I found that you can also flatten it out and use it as a surface whenever you're not utilizing it since it does take up a moderate amount of space.Overall, I'm happy with this bookstand. Well-made and effective. The only drawbacks for me are the limited capacity of the clips, and the difficulty of adjusting the vertical position of the neck. If you're looking for a stable and adaptable stand, this is definitely a good choice, just be aware of the clip limitations.

This is seriously a game changer! I use it every day, and it helps me keep better posture whether I’m sitting or standing. It’s super sturdy, holds my laptop perfectly, and doesn’t wobble at all. I also love how adjustable it is. I can change the height and angle to whatever feels most comfortable. Plus, it holds a lot of weight, so I never have to worry about my laptop or work materials slipping. The quality feels premium, and it’s lightweight enough to move around easily. My neck and back feel so much better since using this! I work from home and this has greatly improved my setup.

This is a very nicely made product, with one minor exception: the clips that hold the book are a simple coated wire (see photo), mounted approximately 3/4 inch (2 cm) from the backing board. This means that it can't handle large books, or books that take a lot of pressure to keep open. The book I'm showing in the photo is 9x7in (23x18cm) and 1in (2.5cm) thick. This is about the limit of usability, in my testing (note that it's the width of the book that matters). I had to keep the stand up-right with this book - any lowering of angles and the weight of the book would push the stand down to its lowest position. The stand comes with some hex wrenches, so I assumed these were for adjusting the tension, but I was not able to do that. This book I tested does not naturally want to lay flat, it wants to "close up" if left on its own. The wires held it open, but were not strong enough to hold it firmly flat on both sides (see left page in the photo). Other than that, I really like it. It looks great, the base is solid and swivels smoothly, and it holds a book at a nice height when sitting on my desk. As long as you're not trying to use this to hold a thick book, it should work out fine.

Being a law school student I do a lot of reading and research. I've tried several book holders and this one by far is my favorite. The look is really nice. It looks substantial, like a commercial quality book holder you'd find in a nice library. The weight is really good too. The overall build quality seems really nice and aesthetically it looks really professional on your desk.Functionally, it works well overall. Holds large law school textbooks well. The page holders accommodate thick books. I also like how the holder swivels smoothly. The only issue I've noticed is that, while it's very adjustable, if you adjust it so the textbook sits lower in the stand, then the stand cannot hold the weight and it begins to slowly lower to the table. Even though they included 4 hex tools, I find no way to actually tighten the adjustments to keep the holder from slowly lowering when its in certain positions.Fortunately, there are plenty of positions you can put your book in that it will stay in place. So, overall it's not a big deal.... I just wish there were knobs for tightening in all positions.Overall I really really like this book holder. Very substantial for the money. Definitely recommend. I will update this review if it develops issues.

I use this in the kitchen and it’s great for being able to make recipes while keeping the book up high and easier to read.
