Have you ever been frustrated by those wire clips on your music stand that fail to hold your book open? I certainly have, and I am glad to have found this clip that keeps my music book open so I can read the music while playing my instruments. It works like a 3 prong paper clip (if there were such thing). The ends of the clip hold the opposing pages and the middle two tines support from behind. Even though the price seems a little high, this is a good investment in your mental health.

Good quality, nice and thick. Strong - can prop open a large book using just a handful of center pages. Quality of manufacture is good - smooth edges, nice finish. I'm very pleased with this item!

For how cheap this is I found it to be worth it. It’s a very strong metal and will definitely last a long time.2 issues—it does hold back the book and it’s binding, but not necessarily individual pages when you set it up to be able to turn multiple pages while sight reading (just follow the instructions I have a feeling some other reviewers didn’t read them...). So now I mostly use this to break in newer books early on when the binding is so tight that it’ll snap open without any support. After that point, I may or may not use it... also, it can be hard to use for reading the first and last pieces but at that point you can just fold the edge back so they stay in place.

This is the best page-holder-music-clip I have ever used. I have multiple Long Beach Page Clips and have even given them as gifts to other readers and musicians. It's very sturdy and will last forever! Others on the market are thinner and bend easily; however, this one can hold open even large tomes with thick spines. It doesn't require you to break the spine of your book, and with the cheap "perfect binding" (gluing individual pages together instead of stitching them in signatures) of books this will allow you to keep your pages intact. You can also free up a few pages for easy page turns whilst playing your instrument or reading. It's also thin enough to be used as a bookmark!

My husband asked for this clip to keep his piano music books open. He says it works as expected. Simple and inexpensive. This particular version seems very strong, not at all flimsy or prone to getting bent. The clip works best on thinner books like Brahms 51 exercises (Alfred edition) (about 65 pages). Not sure how it would work on a 250 page volume. Prompt fulfillment from this seller (Long Beach Music).
