Okay. So this is not a plug and play part... This is a replacement for a part that is welded and bolted in place. You can either drill out the bolts from the knuckle side, or cut/grind off the studs and drill them out from the front without having the knuckle arm in the way.As long as you're accurate enough with your drilling, this will fit perfectly. The bolts are short, so you have to have to have a smooth mounting surface. This really cleaned up the steering wanting to wander, and seems very well made.

This part will work on an 87 F-150, but you will need to remove the intermediate steering shaft and drill or grind off the hardened rivets that attach the old one. Not a bad job if you have the tools, it just takes time. I gave it two stars because mine was missing the bolt that pinches it to the spline on the steering box, and I can't reuse my old one because DORMAN used a different thread! So I am off to the hardware store to find one. Thanks a lot Dorman!!

The part provided did not fit a 1976 F100, therefore, it was usless for the required task. It was about 1/2 an inch smaller in diameter.
