After pounding in about 3/4 of the way the outer ring starts to bend and cover the screw hole. They also move a little bit too so hard to get them precisely where you want them. Especially in a stud. But, if you are able get them in correctly they are very sturdy

I recently purchased these self-hammer-in drywall anchors, and I can't express how disappointed I am with their performance. They promise easy installation, but they fall miserably short of that claim.First and foremost, these anchors bend and warp as soon as you try to hammer them into drywall. It's as if they're made of the flimsiest material possible. Instead of securely anchoring anything to the wall, they just become a twisted mess.I thought they might be a quick fix for some light-duty projects, but they couldn't even handle that. Attempting to use them resulted in damaged walls and a waste of my time and money. Moreover, their supposed convenience factor turned into a complete hassle. I spent more time trying to straighten these anchors out than I did on the actual installation. It's infuriating to have a product that's supposed to simplify things turn into a source of frustration. In the end, I would strongly advise against buying these self-hammer-in drywall anchors. They are poorly designed and utterly useless. If you want reliable anchors for your projects, look elsewhere. These anchors are a complete waste of your hard-earned money.

i've reordered these anchors twice! for folks who complain that the anchor bends when you hammer into sheetrock - they're hitting studs. you can't pound these little guys into studs - aint gonna happen. use your studfinder first. if you hit a stud great - you wouldn't use an anchor.to date, i haven't used a different type of anchor since i found these. i've hung posters, artwork, ikea shoe keepers, a couple mirrors, several sconces, curtain rods, cutting board hangars - i've even used these to augment screws in studs holding up vertical sheets of plywood in my custom closet.they haven't failed me yet - and that's quite a claim.i've started using these instead of those cheezy, round plastic anchors. i really appreciate how easy they are to install. just tap into sheetrock gently with a hammer. then drive the screw into the anchor; listen for the "break" sound, which is the anchor splitting and grabbing the back of the drywall.also really like that if i have to remove one, they don't leave a huge round hole in sheetrock that i have to repair.glad i bought. if i use them all, i'll certainly buy more.

These really are as easy to use as indicated by the seller. Tap them in with a hammer, screw in the screw and you can hear the inside spreading apart and gripping. Mistake, no problem...Unscrew about 3/4 of the way and wiggle the anchor out of the wall, they leave a small slit that you may not even see. Love them !
