The Gas-a-Just is available as an OE monotube replacement and as an OE twin-tube performance upgrade. The KYB Gas-a-Just has two separate working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness & control, and a second high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds instant performance on demand.

The pair of shock absorbers front and rear failed ( lost all their rebound damping) after only 10,000km, mostly on sealed roads. Failed W.O.F. after 6 months in the vehicle.

I contacted KYB to find out what would fit the VehiCROSS, and these were recommended. These lasted all of 3 months/4k miles before the ride returned to the bouncy, shaky ride I was experiencing on my worn shocks. There was a definite difference in how the truck felt when they were brand new vs when they were 3 months old. I daily drive my truck, and expected these would last a *lot* longer than they did. I would not buy these again, and would be hard pressed to recommend them to anyone.

Put on my 96 Isuzu trooper. Easy to install and work well. They have a fast response once compressed

lasted 6 months before going out. Such a waste of money at this point.

I have had KYB Gas-a-just Monotube shock absorbers for over two years on my 1994 Isuzu Trooper II. They provide a softer/floaty ride than I was expecting, and I expected more rebound control. I have seen no degredation in ride quality in the two, plus years of use.I found the physical quality of the hardware adequate, with no questionable areas of external design/build.I have not been unhappy with the KYB Gas-a-just Monotube shock absorbers, and find the value to be adequate, but would try a different shock absorber next time.

I have what I believe to be the last running 1995 Trooper in the state of Texas. When I bought it, it was in need of some maintenance. The original Sensa Trac OEM shocks were still on it, with 150K on them! I was hitting the bump stops. So I bought these and had a local place install them for an AMAZING price. Now I fear not turns or speed bumps. I also went to a 4wd park and they performed admirably. Highly recommended for an SUV with light or occasional off roading. Made in Japan.

I have run KYB struts in sports cars and liked them, but never an SUV. I was looking for better road handling and more stability off-road. I do not care for a vehicle that feels like a cruise ship, but I also do not want a harsh ride. I am very pleased with the KYBs, they are plush enough to make the Trooper excellent off-road, yet they are stiff enough to greatly improve the on-road manners of my 1999 Trooper.
