Love it. Paper turned out to be really good than my expectations. Absorbs water very well, I enjoy painting on these paper.

I am disappointed in the paper quality, I have my doubts that it is 100% cotton. It behaves more like cellulose mixed media paper in that it has a tendency to pill. The size of the journal is nice and I will most likely use it for mixed media work or pencil sketching.

This is one of the more affordable watercolor sketchbooks now on the market. I liked it because it was a nice square shape instead of a landscape or portrait style. I'm pretty happy with the paper quality. I used some very wet washes and Posca markers, and the paper stood up well. I wish there were other options for the cover other than brown. In my opinion it is made well. I'm enjoying it.

This is my third Lightwish sketchbook, and love them. Due to their affordability for 100% cotton watercolor paper. However, this one arrived wrapped like the others, but multiple pages were dirty. I was able to remove most of the dirt with an eraser and/or cover with paint. Hopefully, this is a one off situation, as I haven't had this with my other sketchbooks.

Really like the look of the textured cover. Appreciate the elastic keeper that keeps the journal closed when not in use. Nice to have the inner pocket for storing small items. Paper is very thick. My daughter tried doing some water colour in the journal and it didn't bleed at all. Neither do markers, even Sharpies. Awesome that it can lay flat so you can actually do a painting that spans two pages if you wanted. A truly beautiful and functional journal for yourself or as a gift for the artist in your life.

These watercolour albums are cold pressed so they are very much textured. The pages are thick and my watercolours did not seep through easily. They’re also great for gouache paint. Because of the heavy texture, these pages are not great for mixed media art and would not recommend using these for oil pastels, markers, or charcoal. I like the square sized booklets because they can open to create a two-page landscape drawing. The landscape size is good for making smaller landscape watercolour art and I find it’s too long for a two-page art. I do appreciate that these albums come in a variety of different sizes and shapes for different paintings.
